      2. cnslidate the usage f nun clauses by presentatin and practices.
      3. get sme related infrmatin abut studying abrad and share their pinins by reading passages and watching the vide.
      教学内容
      教学重点:
      检测学生对本单元重点词汇及核心语法项目——名词性从句的掌握情况。
      (活动一要求学生用所给的词语改写句子,帮助他们巩固这些词语的用法,引导他们用不同的方式表达类似的意思,丰富语言表达形式。活动2的匹配练习涉及名词性从句的不同种类,引导学生把握不同的句子结构,积累名词性从句的典型句式,如 my that...)
      通过语篇引导学生了解国外留学的益处以及挑战,了解留学可能产生的文化冲突及其四个阶段。
      教学难点:
      引导学生结合所学对国外留学及文化交流形成自己的思考,并综合相关话题的词汇及语法知识,谈论、分享自己对国外留学的看法。
      教学过程
      Step1 Learning bjectives
      The teacher will shw the gals f this class.
      [Justificatin] It will make students clear abut the target f the class, thus fllwing the lessn.
      Step2 Lead in
      The teacher will shw the picture f an exchange student, then raise tw questins:
      Where d yu think the girl might be frm?
      Where d yu think she is studying nw?
      [Justificatin] It will activate students’ minds thrugh engaging their senses in, finally, leads t tday’s tpic naturally.
      Step3 Vcabulary
      Activity1 Matching
      The teacher will shw sme key wrds and phrases in this unit as well as their English meanings, and arrange the task: match each wrd with its English meaning.
      [Justificatin] It will make students review the imprtant vcabulary t understand them better and get familiar with them, then get ready fr the next activity.
      Activity2 Rewriting
      The teacher will shw sme sentences and the vcabulary based n Activity1 fr students, then arrange the task: rewrite the sentences with the crrect frms f the wrds r phrases in brackets.
      [Justificatin] It will help students enrich their vcabulary and make them express variusly, finally develp their language skills.
      Activity3 Filling&Explring
      The teacher will give an incmplete passage fr students t chse crrect frms f the wrds in the bx. The teacher will give a tip t students t imprve accuracy rate: we can put parts f speech first befre filling. After checking the answer, students will be given sme useful phrases t understand and memrize. After that students are suppsed t read the passage and answer questins:
      What’s the text type?
      What des the passage mainly talk abut?
      Why did the authr say “studying abrad was a life changing experience” ?
      Did the authr think it was a gd idea t study abrad? Why?
      [Justificatin] It will make students cnslidate the vcabulary in this unit again; Students als get the learning strategy t study better; students’ vcabulary get enriched and develp a habit f summarizing the phrases in a passage; students will develp reading skills and have a critical thinking mind.
      Step4 Grammar
      Activity 1 Reviewing
      The teacher will lead students t have a brief review f nun clause.
      [Justificatin] Students frmer knwledge f the grammar fcus will be arused, and get familiar with it.
      Activity 2 Matching
      The teacher will present sme incmplete clauses fr students t make cmplete sentences. And then, students are required t underline nun clauses and find ut the cnjunctins which are t lead nun clauses.
      [Justificatin] Students will cnslidate the grammar fcus and accumulate different patterns f nun clauses t express; furthermre, it leads t next activity naturally.
      Activity 3 Presenting
      The teacher will present the types f cnjunctins and analyze the usage f them.
      [Justificatin] Students will make clearer abut hw t chse and use different cnjunctins t lead nun clauses, and get ready fr next activity.
      Activity 4 Filling&Explring
      The teacher will present a passage n culture shck fr students t cmplete with the given wrds in the bx. After checking the answer, students will be invited t read it again and answer questins:
      What are the fur stages f culture shck?
      Hw d yu think peple can vercme culture shck? Please use nun clauses t answer the questin.
      [Justificatin] Students will cnslidate the grammar; They will learn sme knwledge abut culture shck, and use what they have learned abut nun clause t make sentences, which helps them express their ideas better; it will als develp their skimming and scanning skills; and finally it activate their minds and develp their thinking capacity.
      Step5 Watch and Share
      The teacher will play a vide abut different ideas n studying abrad, after that ask students abut their pinins n it. Then, invite sme f them t share their pinins. Finally, the teacher will summarize the class by citing a prverb f Mary Anne Radmacher.
      [Justificatin] It will mbilize senses f students t think better; It will give sme surces fr them t activate their minds; It will develp students’ speaking skills, and imprve their integrated abilities. Finally, students will experience the prfund meaning f the tpic tday.
      Assignment
      1. Finish the assignment sheet.
      2. Imprve the weak parts by self-study.
