Teacher presents a picture t students t intrduce the tpic f this lessn.

【Justificatin】Students can review what they have learnt frm the reading passage n page 54 by a picture and predict the cntent f the vide based n that picture and the title t get prepared fr their viewing.
Activity 2 Learn abut the frmatin and effects f tsunamis by exercises
Based n their predictin, Teacher firstly invites students t finish exercises in Befre yu watch individually.
Then Teacher invites students t spend 30 secnds reading the three statements in exercise ne f While yu watch.
【Justificatin】By finishing the exercise in Befre yu watch, students can learn abut the frmatin and effects f tsunamis briefly and als get familiar with sme difficult new wrds and expressins, like “tectnic plates” and “expand in all directins”. By reading the three statements befre watching, students can get well prepared t knw the frmatin and effects f tsunamis frm the vide and als they can fllw the vide mre easily.

Teacher invites students t watch the vide fr the first time t check whether their predictin is crrect r nt, t check their answers in Befre yu watch and finish exercise ne in While yu watch.
