      Step 1 Lead In
      What des the name “Charlie Chaplin” remind yu f?
      Watch a sht vide abut Charlie Chaplin t get familiar with this great actr.
      Purpse: T get familiar with Charlie Chaplin and his film and als t aruse the interest f the students in the class.
      Step 2 Make predictins
      (1)Students have a lk at the picture, read the title and the intrductin, and then try t fcus n the specialty f “an immigrant” t get prepared fr the film The Immigrant.
      (2) Students lk at the phts frm the film The Immigrant and try t guess what these characters’ bdy language and expressins mean.
      (3) Then Students try t predict the stry f the film.
      Purpse: T get the students familiar with the film The Immigrant and stress the imprtance f predictin and getting infrmatin frm bdy language as well as expressins.
      Step 3 Check the predictins
      Students watch the vide and check whether the predictins are right r wrng.
      Purpse: T get t knw the imprtance f bdy language and expressins and als appreciate the charm f the mime.
      Step 4 Get detailed infrmatin
      (1) Students watch the vide again and try t answer the fllwing questins.
      1). Why des Chaplin keep putting mney int the wman’s pcket and taking it ut?
      2). Where des Chaplin get the mney t eat at the restaurant?
      3). Why des the waiter becme angry with Chaplin?
      4). Why des the man sitting next t Chaplin becme angry with him?
      5). Can Chaplin pay the restaurant bill in the end?
      (2) Students learn the tips f taking ntes quickly in rder nt t skip the imprtant sht f the film.
      1) Yu can write dwn the key wrds r just use sme signs s that yu can take ntes quickly.
      2) Then, yu can make a sentence t answer the questin later, in rder nt t skip sme imprtant shts f the film.
      Purpse: T learn t take ntes quickly and get the detailed infrmatin frm the given film.
      Step 5 Assignment
      Write a script, assign rles, and “dub” the scene.
      Discuss if the film is better dubbed r silent.
      Discuss what yu think will happen next in the film.
