2. Help Ss understand the value f mney and share their ideas in daily cnversatins.
教学过程
I. Lead-in(2 mins)
Activity 1. Talk abut the pening page
Ss bserve the picture and talk abut their knwledge f mney. Then Ss discuss the meaning f Francis Bacn’s saying and the value f mney.
Purpse: Ss activate their backgrund knwledge f mney, and get interested in the tpic f this unit.
II. Pre-Listening (2 mins)
Activity 1. Making predictins
Ss say the names f festivals as sn as pssible when they see the pictures.
Purpse: Ss grasp the stylistic knwledge f news reprts, using wh-questins t help predict the cntent.
Activity 2. Cmplete the leading paragraph
Accrding t the leading paragraph, Ss acquire the mst newswrthy infrmatin and answer the questins raised befre.
Purpse: By raising questins and trying t find the respective answers, Ss can analyze the text with a clear bjective. It als helps Ss understand the cntent’s structure and identify the imprtant infrmatin.
III. While-Listening (10 mins)
Activity 1. Listen and put the events in the crrect rder
Ss listen again and put these events in the crrect rder after pre-treating the given infrmatin.
Purpse: T help Ss quickly identify the key infrmatin by using the strategy and catch develpment f the whle stry.
Activity 2. Listen fr further details
Ss Listen again and decide if the fllwing statements are true (T) r false (F).
Purpse: T help Ss practise the strategy t listen fr the details and crrect the wrng statements.
Activity 3. Map relatinships between peple
