    We can learn a lt abut what peple are thinking by watching their bdy language.The crucial thing is using bdy language in a way that is apprpriate t the culture yu are in.
    Let’s review the text we have learnt.

     She enjys learning abut bdy language in different cultures. (bject) The crucial thing is using bdy language in a way … (predicative)
     Hwever, yu shuld avid making this gesture in Brazil and Germany, as it is nt cnsidered plite.  Elsewhere, peple favur shaking hands, bwing frm the waist, r ndding the head when they meet smene else. A gd way f saying “I am full” is mving yur hand in circles ver yur stmach after a meal. Perhaps the best example is smiling.

    (2)-ing形式作介词宾语,经常用在一些动介词搭配的短语后面。常见的动介词搭配+-ing形式有:can’t help(忍不住)be prud f(以……自豪) be respnsible fr(对……负责)insist n(坚持)keep n(继续)think f(考虑,想到)dream f(梦想)hear f(听说) prevent ... frm(防止,阻止)keep ... frm(防止,阻止)stp ... frm(防止,阻止)be engaged in(从事于)depend n(依靠,依赖)thank ... fr(因……而道谢)excuse ... fr(因……而道歉) aim at(目的在于)...
    (3)动词need, require, want作“需要”以及deserve作“值得”之意时,后面接-ing形式或动词不定式的被动式。need/want/require/deserve ding = need/want/require/deserve t be dne e.g.: The bike needs repairing/t be repaired.These little children require lking after carefully/t be lked after carefully. Yur shes need cleaning/t be cleaned. The rm wants cleaning/t be cleaned.
    (4)用-ing形式作宾语的句型:It is n use/gd ding 做某事没有用/没好处send sb ding sth 使得某人做某事spend sme time (in) ding sth 花时间做某事have fun/have a gd time/have a bad time ding sth 做某事很(不)愉快have (n) difficulty (in) ding sth 做某事有(没有)困难catch sb ding sth 碰上/捉住某人做某事there in n pint ding sth 做某事没有意义there is n denying that ... 毋庸置疑……“There is n ding ...” 表示“不允许、禁止某种行为的发生或存在”e.g.: I have n difficulty (in) cmmunicating with freigners.
    (5)动词的-ing形式作宾语 VS 动词的 t d形式作宾语 ① 在表示抽象的一般的多次性行为时多用-ing形式;在表示具体的或一次性的动作,特别是将来的动作时,多用t d。e.g.: Smking is frbidden here. (泛指吸烟)e.g.: It’s nt gd fr yu t smke s much. (指你吸烟)② 有些动词既能接不定式t d,又能接-ing形式,表达的意义不一样。如:remember ding sth  记得做了某事remember t d sth  记住要去做某事frget ding sth  忘记做了某事 frget t d sth  忘记要去做某事 regret ding sth  后悔做了某事 regret t d sth  遗憾要去做某事 e.g.: I remember psting the letter. I’ll remember t pst the letter. I regret missing the reprt. I regret t say I can’t take yur advice.
    4. 动词的-ing形式作表语:(1)作用:① 用来泛指某种动作或行为,以说明主语的身份。e.g.: My great happiness is serving peple. ② 表示主语的内容,表示与主语一样的事情或情况。e.g.: Her hbby is painting. ③ 用来说明事物(主语)的特征,相当于形容词。修饰物时用-ing结尾的形容词。e.g. The result f the student’s test is disappinting.
    (2)-ing形式作表语 VS -ed形式作表语。-ing形式用来描述事物的特征,表示“令人……的”;-ed形式用来描述人的感受,表示“感到……的”。e.g.: Traveling is interesting but tiring. The pupils will get cnfused if they are made t learn t much.
