Beginning high schl is a scary 8 n its wn.
I spent my first few mnths in New Orleans, 9 wanting t g hme t Virginia. But after a few mnths f missing hme, I10 that I had a chice. I culd cntinue thinking abut hw much I missed my ld hme, 11 I culd start trying t build a new hme right here. I chse the latter.
As sn as I stpped giving all my 12 t hw much I missed Virginia, I was able t begin accepting the lve that peple were already giving me. I jined sme clubs at schl, which gave me the chance t make friends. My neighbr taught me hw t ck sme New Orleans fd,and I fund a wnderful 13 f fellw cks and neighbrs. Overall, I seized every pssible pprtunity t 14 myself and t rebuild my life.
Because f my resilience (适应力)in creating a new hme fr myself and the 15 that peple have shwn t me,hme is right here.
