S1: The reprting clause may cme befre, within, r after the direct speech. When the reprting clause cmes after the direct speech, the rder f the subject and the verb may be changed. E.g. Jane said / said Jane. This typically happens when the reprting clause is within the reprted speech and the subject is nt a prnun.
S2: Use a cmma t cnnect the direct speech and the reprting clause.
