[明规则]1.动名词作定语修饰名词,说明被修饰名词的某种性能或用途,在意义上相当于“名词+fr+ding”。2.现在分词作定语时,它和被修饰词之间有逻辑上的主谓关系,可以表示正在进行的动作,也可以表示所修饰词的性质或特征等。3.单个的现在分词作定语,常放在被修饰词前作前置定语;现在分词短语作定语时常放在被修饰词后作后置定语,相当于一个定语从句。 [名师点津] 现在分词、过去分词和不定式作定语的一般区别:现在分词表示正在进行或习惯性的动作;过去分词表示被动或完成意义;不定式表示动作尚未发生。

二、动词-ing形式作表语作表语的现在分词和动名词在具体用法上也各有不同。[先感知]①The argument seems very cnvincing.这个论点似乎很令人信服。②Yur speech is the mst interesting and encuraging.你的演讲最有趣而且最鼓舞人。③Her jb is keeping the lecture hall as clean as pssible.=Keeping the lecture hall as clean as pssible is her jb.她的工作是尽量使报告厅保持干净。
[会发现]1.cnvincing, interesting, encuraging是__________作表语,说明主语的特征。2.keeping ... 是_____________作表语,此时主语和表语可以互换。 [明规则]1.现在分词作表语,往往具有形容词的性质,表示主语的性质、特征和状态,回答hw的问题;动名词作表语具体说明主语的内容,回答what的问题。2.动名词作表语时,表语和主语可以互换;现在分词作表语时不能互换位置。3.作表语的现在分词前可以用very, quite, rather, greatly等副词修饰,也可以与mre, the mst连用,而动名词则不可以。4.作表语的现在分词除和be连用之外,还可以和其他系动词连用;而动名词只能和be连用。
