      The research team tasked almst 500 British peple wh had taken French GCSEs r A levels between the 1970s and 2020 with finishing a French vcabulary and grammar test. They included in it a survey f whether participants had used their French knwledge ver the years since their exams, and excluded (排除) anyne wh had studied a language later n in life.
