The Listening sectin is an interview in which tw students describe their experience f riding n Natinal Highway 318. Thrugh the cmprehensive training f taking ntes and listening and speaking skills in real cntext, the students can deepen their understanding f the explratin theme and imprve their language applicatin ability. The teacher leads the students t listen t the first recrding, understand the main idea f the cnversatin, and chse the best descriptin f the rider's experience. Activity 7 Step 1: Lead students t read. Did Yu Knw? Part, understand the backgrund knwledge f Natinal Highway 318. Teachers can shw sme pictures f the scenery alng Natinal Highway 318, s that students have a mre intuitive understanding. Step 2: Students listen t the tape and chse the best descriptin. Step 3: Check yur answers as a class. Activity 8 The teacher plays the recrding again and asks the students t cmplete the blg cntent.
Methd 1 (Suitable fr average classes r students) : Step 1: Lead students t read the cntent f Learning t learn, and guide students hw t take ntes effectively. Step 2: The students read the cntent f the blg f activity 8 independently. The teacher plays the recrding again and asks the students t write dwn the keywrds r the initials f the keywrds. Step 3: Play the recrding fr the third time and cmplete the blg. Step 5: In grups, discuss hw the tw riders described their experience and list relevant language expressins. If necessary, the instructr may play the recrding again.
Methd 2 (Suitable fr better classes r students) : Step 1: Lead students t read the cntent f Learning t learn, and guide students hw t take ntes effectively. Step 2: Play the recrding again. Students take ntes and try t recrd the key pints. Step 3: Students in grups, accrding t the ntes t cmplete the activity 8 blg cntent. Step 4: The whle class can check the answers, the teacher can play the recrding again, and the students can check accrding t the recrding cntent. Step 5: Students wrk in grups and repeat the whle interview accrding t their ntes. Make a list f language expressins that describe yur experience. (Teachers can als ask students t write a shrt essay abut the interviewee's experience and feelings based n the cntent f the interview.)
Speaking sectin The teacher leads the students t have a cnversatin using the knwledge they have learned. Activity 9 The teacher encurages the students t use the new language, using the tpic situatin prvided by the student's bk, t cmpse a new dialgue and describe the new adventure. Step 1: Students wrk in pairs, assign rles accrding t the requirements, turn t the crrespnding page f the student bk, use the infrmatin and expressin prvided, cmplete the dialgue, and fill in the travel infrmatin f the ther party in the frm. Step 2: Ask grups f students t present the cnversatin t the class. Activity 10 Teachers encurage students t expand their thinking and create their wn situatins t create a new dialgue based n the previus dialgue. Step 1: Students wrk in pairs, cmbine their wn travel experience and relevant scenic infrmatin, cmplete a similar cnversatin. Step 2: Ask sme grups t act ut the dialgue in class.
