    There is n denying that everyne has felt wrried r upset befre a cntest r sprts game. A study in 2000 fund that “high levels f anxiety during cmpetitins are harmful, wrsening the perfrmance and even leading t drpping ut”. An example f this is Jhn Daly, an American glf player Wh was nce ne f the best f his time. The great amunt f pressure placed n him t win made him extremely anxius. His anxiety reached such a high level that he was unable t cmplete a turnament and walked ff the curse in the middle f the rund. Over the curse f his career, he quit frm 49 prfessinal matches due t the anxiety he experienced.
    In fact, anxiety can have a number f negative effects and changes t the bdy, mind and behavir. Anxiety causes yur bdy t tense up and increases bld pressure. When this happens, it becmes mre difficult fr yur bdy t mve fluently and efficiently, meaning actins and mvements becme unnatural. The terrr yu experience as a result f anxiety is s verwhelming that it may even lead t bdy paralysis(瘫痪). An example f this is stage fright, which may be experienced right befre a public cmpetitin. When feeling verwhelming fear, the athlete may be unable t mve, talk r act at all.
    Anxiety has a negative effect n nt nly athletes, but als students and yung peple, particularly when it cmes t tests and exams. This “test anxiety” ccurs in 33% f students and can affect their perfrmance in exams and verall achievements. As time ges n, the age at which children suffer frm anxiety is becming yunger.
    Anxiety leads t the pr academic perfrmance and lw scres. This is because the anxiety becmes s verwhelming that yu lse the ability t think clearly. It has been prven that students with anxiety scre lwer n tests than students wh d nt suffer frm anxiety.
    Anxiety can als affect students’ willingness t engage in class r participate in class discussins Again,this can have a negative impact n their perfrmance because they are unable t cmmunicate with the teacher by asking questins. This then leads t cnfusin and further wrry abut a task,resulting in additinal anxiety. This same wrry als applies t peer learning(同伴学习)because this invlves sharing ideas with ther students. A student with high anxiety is unable t share these ideas,meaning the quit frm activities and their learning is limited.
