    Pabl Picass is the mst famus artist f the 20th century. He was at the cutting edge f new artistic styles including Cubism (立体派). He was incredibly prductive and created abut 50,000 paintings, sculptures, ceramics (陶瓷艺术品) and drawings.
    Pabl Picass(1881-1973)
    The Blue and Rse Perids are tw imprtant perids in Picass’s wrk. The Blue Perid, which lasted frm 1901 t 1904, was heavily influenced by the death f his friend, Casagemas. He used blue paint t express his sadness at his friend’s death. Death f Casagemas is an example f his Blue Perid wrks. During the Rse Perid, frm 1904 t 1906, Picass was interested in painting circus (马戏团) dancers. He used pink and rse clrs t cnvey the beauty f these circus figures.
    Hwever, Picass is mst famus fr his cntributins t cubism, which is a style f art that uses brken lines and cube-like shapes in unusual psitins t represent peple and bjects. Picass’s The Guitar is an example f cubist painting.Pabl Picass was bth an artist and a celebrity (名人) because the media tk such an interest in this gifted and unusual man. He died in 1973, in France, and left behind an enrmus number f wrks which are shwn in bth museums and private cllectins acrss the wrld.

    Feng Zikai(1898-1975)
    Feng Zikai, the Chinese mdern painter, writer and music educatr, was brn in Tngxiang, Zhejiang Prvince in 1898. He develped a strng affectin fr art at a yung age. In 1914, he entered the Zhejiang First Nrmal Schl t learn art under the tutelage f Li Shutng.
    In 1921, Feng went t Japan fr further studies. After returning t China, he taught art at several universities, including Fudan University and Zhejiang University. What mre, he was nce the editr f Kaiming Publishing Huse(上海开明书店). His teaching career came t an end in 1943, frm which year he began t cncentrate n his wn creatin. And his creatin never stpped until he passed away in 1975.
