    Every artist's wish is t create smething that expresses an idea.
    动词不定式作表语有何功能?动词不定式作表语说明主语的具体内容,表示具体的或将来的动作,还可以表示目的、结果、安排、命令、决求、劝告、意愿等。当主语是aim,duty,hpe,idea,mistake,plan,purpse,suggestin等词或以这些词为中心词的名词词组时,动词不定式作表语表示主语的内容,如:My wrk is t clean the rm every day.My chief purpse is t pint ut the difficulties f the matter.
    t create smehing 是动词不定式作表语
    以what引导的主语从句,不定式作表语说明主语的内容,如What I wuld suggest is t put ff the meeting.(建议的内容)What I'd like t say is t treat the pr creature well. (说话的内容)Every artist's wish is t create smething that expresses an idea.(愿望的内容)
    当主语和表语都是不定式时,主语表示条件,表语表示结果,如:T be kind t the enemy is t be cruel t the peple. T see is t believe.(t see为条件,t believe为结果)
    动词不定式作表语时t能否省略?一般情况下,不定式作表语不能省略。
    我能做的就是等待。表语表示主语的内容,主语从句中含有d,所以t wait中的t省略
    ★但如果前面的主语从句中含有d时,可以省略t;如:
    All I culd d was wait.
    ★由and或r等连接并列的动词不定式时,第二个(和后面的)不定式可以省略t,如:
    My dream is t be an astrnaut and explre the universe.
    动词的-ing frm作表语有何功能?动词的-ing frm作表语用来说明主语的内客,表示主语的某种性质或状态。当与主语是同一概念的时候,主语与表语的住置可以替换,如:上面的例句也可以替换为:Turning t his children's tys is ne way fr him t find inspiratin.
    One way fr him t find inspiratin is turning t his children's tys.
    turning t his children's tys在句中作表语,说明主语的内容。
    -ing frm作表语时句子主语常是表示无生命的事物的名词或what引导的名词性从句。-ing frm与主语通常是对等的关系,表示主语的内容,主语、表语可互换位置。如果句中的主语和表语同为动词时,要注意保持两个动词在形式上的一致。如:
    Yur task is cleaning the windws. 你的任务就是擦窗户。
    (Cleaning the windws is yur task.)
    What I hate mst is being laughed at.我最痛恨的就是被别人嘲笑。
    (Being laughed at is what I hate mst.)
    The nly thing that interests her is wrking.她唯一感兴趣的事就是工作。
    (Wrking is the nly thing that interests her.)
    二者通常可以互换,没有区别;如:如果一定要区分的话,-ing frm表示一般的或抽象的多次行为,t infinitive 表示具体的或一次动作;如:The mst imprtant thing nw is t save the by, whatever it csts.
    t infinitive 和-ing frm作表语有什么区别
    The mst ppular pastime is playing chess. 最大众化的消遣是下棋
    The mst ppular pastime is t play chess. 最大众化的消遣是下棋
    He was particularly interested in the ld stry abut a fish jumping thrugh the “Dragn Gate”.
    interested in the ld stry在句中作表语,表示主语的状态。
    动词的过去分词作表语,表示主语的状态。如:The city is surrunded n three sides by muntains. 这座城市三面环山。(过去分词作表语)The library is nw clsed. 图书馆关门了。(过去分词作表语)This was a terrible attack and the wman is still very shcked. 这是一次可怕的袭击,这位女士现在仍然很震惊。(过去分词作表语)
    动词-ed frm作表语和被动语态有何区别?动词-ed frm作表语通常用来描写情景、叙述人成事物的特征及所处的状态,而被动语态强调动作,重点说明动作由谁究成、怎样完成。试比较以下两个句子∶
    (1)The shp is clsed nw. (过去分词作表语,说明商店的状态)
    (2)It was clsed by the manager. (被动语态,强调动作)
    此外,动词-ed frm作表语时,在功能上更接近形容词,它不仅可以用于be之后,也可根据需要用于其他系动词(如seem, appear)之后,而被动语态中的过去分词动作意味较强,它只能与助动词be(有时可能是get)构成被动结构,不能用于其他动词之后。
    表示“使...”意义的动词的-ed frm和-ing frm作表语
    amaze 使惊讶astnish 使惊奇bre 使厌倦cnfuse 使迷惑disappint 使失望delight 使高兴discurage 使气馁excite 使兴奋encurage 使鼓舞exhaust 使疲倦
    inspire 激励mve使激动please使高兴puzzle使不解satisfy使满意surprise使吃惊shck使震惊tire使疲惫upset 使恼怒frighten 使恐惧interest 使感兴趣
    这类动词通常称为半使役类动词
    半使役类动词的-ing frm和 -ed frm的用法区别,-ing frm修饰事物,描述事物的特征,-ed frm修饰人或人的表情,心理活动等;如:
    The film we saw last night was very interesting. 我们昨天晚上看的电影非常有趣。We were all interested in the film. 我们都对这部电影感兴趣。The frightening hurricane made the girl very frightened. 令人恐惧的飓风使这个女孩感到害怕。The teacher was satisfied with the answer f his students. 这位老师对他学生们的回答感到满意。
