Althugh paper cutting is ppular arund the glbe, nly Chinese paper cutting was listed in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) lists, because it has a histry f mre than 1,500 years and it represents cultural values f the peple thrughut China.

Chinese calligraphy is a frm f artist expressin f human language in a tangible frm. This type f expressin has been widely practised in China and has been generally held in high esteem in the Chinese culture.

Hw t Use a Chinese Calligraphy Brush?
Prepare a Chinese writing brush.
Sak it in a cup f water.
Take the brush ut when it is sft.
Hld the brush in yur right r left hand.
Use yur ring finger, middle finger and thumb t hld the brush.
Keep yur elbw abve the table.
Dip the ink stick in water and grind against the ink stne until the ink has an ily cnsistency.

The paper is ften red, and they are ften cut in circles, and presented n windws r in frames t be hung n a wall. Paper cuts are made by artists wh use a sharp knife t cut the paper. They ften have symblic meaning, fr example, when they represent the animal f a specific year in the Chinese calendar, r a significant character such as “duble happiness”(囍).They shuld be prtected because they are a strng symbl f China's culture.
