一、教学目标
1. 能掌握本单元的单词和短语:glasses, jeans, nervus, fair, pretty, prud, be prud f, stranger, message, sb. can’t wait, hbby, at schl, mark, lve等。
2. 重点句型:
(1) It was great t hear frm yu, and I can’t wait t meet yu.
(2) I hpe yu will knw me frm my pht when I arrive at the airprt.
(3) Hw d yu feel abut cming t China?
(4) I feel nervus when I speak Chinese, but I’ll be fine in a few days.
3. 能够运用表示感觉和知觉的系动词表达自己的感受。
4. 能运用所学的知识描述一个人的外貌、性格以及爱好并写成小短文。
5. 能够运用正确的语音语调流利朗读有关个人感受的语篇内容。
6. 能了解不同民族和不同性格的人表达情感的方式。
二、教学重点及难点
重点:
能够读懂简单的关于人物外貌的描述。
能正确运用系动词feel,lk,sund,smell,taste表达感受。
难点:
能运用所学的知识描述一个人的外貌、性格以及爱好并写成小短文。
三、教学准备
1. 多媒体设备和课件;
2. 教学光盘。
四、教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
1. Shws sme pictures and ask Ss t wrk in grups t describe the pictures using the sentence pattern they have learned last class.
2. Select sme grups and ask them t write their sentences n the blackbard.
3. Let them read their sentences ne by ne, then give pssible answers and review what they have learned last class.
【设计意图】通过看图说话,复习上节课所学的知识,做到温故知新。
Step 2 Pre-reading
New wrds
Shw pictures and let Ss guess the wrds. Then read the new wrds tgether.
【设计意图】学习新单词,为学习对话做铺垫。音、义、形相结合的方式讲授可以帮助学生加深对目标词汇的理解与记忆。
Activity 1
1. Ask Ss t wrk in pairs. Tell them t lk at the tw pictures and describe them with the wrds in the bx.
2. Ask sme Ss t describe the pictures t the class.
【设计意图】学生通过运用所给词汇谈论图片中人物形象,为阅读部分做句式结构及词汇上的准备。
Step 3 While-reading
Activity 3
1. Ask Ss t read the questins in Activity 3 individually.
2. Let Ss read the email again (r listen t the recrding again) and match the questins with the paragraphs.
3. Check the answers as a class.
【设计意图】带着问题阅读文本,培养学生快速提取关键信息的能力。

1. Ask Ss t read the sentences describing Sally individually.
2. Wrk in pairs and try t describe the girl in Picture B in Activity 1.
3. Check as a class and give a pssible answer.
4. Ask Ss t chse fur classmates and write sentences t describe them like the example, but withut including their names.
5. Invite vlunteers t read ut their sentences fr classmates t guess wh is being described.
【设计意图】在学生充分理解课文之后,利用课文中的词汇描述人物,既巩固词汇,又可以学到描述人物的方法。

1. Read the questins as a class and make sure that Ss understand them.
2. Ask Ss t answer the questins frm memry.
3. Ask Ss t read the passage again and check the answers.
4. Put Ss in pairs t take turns asking and answering the questins.
【设计意图】通过设问帮助学生理解文本中的关键句式,为以后完成有关“人物描写”的作文打下基础。

【设计意图】考察学生结合语境对目标词汇进行变型的能力。
Language pints
1. It was great t hear frm yu, and I can’t wait t meet yu.
can’t wait t d sth. 意为“等不及或迫不及待做某事”。如:
He can’t wait t g hme. 他迫不及待地要回家。
I can’t wait t see that idea becme true. 我迫不及待的希望看到这个想法变成现实。
2. I hpe yu will knw me frm my pht when I arrive at the airprt.
本句中hpe后接宾语从句,省略引导词that。宾语从句中又含有when引导的时间状语从句。
【辨析】 arrive, reach与get
三者都表示到达。但是用法有所不同。
后面接地点名词:
arrive in +大地点(国家、城市等)
arrive at + 小地点(村、镇、车站、机场等)
get t + 地点名词
reach + 地点名词
She finally arrived in New Yrk. 她终于到达纽约。
We arrived at the statin as the train was leaving. 我们到达车站时火车正要离开。
What time des this train get t New Yrk? 这辆火车什么时间到达纽约?
G right n until yu reach the church. 直走直到你到达教堂。
(2) 后面接地点副词:
arrive / get / reach + 地点副词
When did yu arrive / get / reach / hme yesterday? 昨天你什么时候到家的?
3. Hw d yu feel abut cming t China?
句型“Hw d yu feel abut…?”意为“你认为……怎么样?”,abut是介词,后面跟名词、代词或动名词,用来询问对方对某人或某物的看法,回答时要说出自己对某人或某物的具体看法或意见。类似句型:Hw d yu like…? / What d yu think f…?
Hw d yu feel abut this film? 你觉得这部电影怎么样?
4. I feel nervus when I speak Chinese, but I’ll be fine in a few days.
本句是一个复合句。when意为“当……时候”,引导时间状语从句;but意为“但是”,引导一个表示转折关系的句子。
It is raining heavily, but I g t schl as usual. 虽然雨下得很大,但我还是像平常一样去上学。
【设计意图】重难点讲解,帮助学生巩固本课知识点,加深理解与记忆。
