Activity 1: Talking abut the first day f senir high schl
Students have a free talk by answering the fllwing questins:
Q1: Hw did yu feel n yur first day f senir high schl?
Q2: What made yu feel happy / excited / frightened / annyed / anxius / awkward?
Activity 2: Reading fr main idea
Students read the title, pictures attached and ther infrmatin frm the website, and get the main idea f the text by answering the fllwing questins:
Q1: Accrding t the title and the pictures, what d yu think Han Jing is talking abut in the text?
Q2: Can yu guess where the text is taken frm?
Q3: In what rder is the text rganized?
Activity 3: Figuring ut Han Jing’s feelings
Students read the text and figure ut her feelings at each time and each place.
Activity 4: Sharing what have been learnt
Students share what have been learnt by answering the fllwing questins:
Q1: What did Han Jing learn frm her first day at senir high shcl?
Q2: What have yu learned frm her stry?
Activity 5: Writing abut yur first schl day
Students write abut their wn first day f senir high schl by referring t the structure f the text and the wrd bank accumulated frm the text.
Activity 6: Learning abut the new vcabulary
Students learn abut the key wrds and phrases in the wrd list and phrase list.
Activity 7: Cnslidatin
Students finish the exercise n page 5 and Translate the fllwing sentences with the wrds given.
