I. Pre-writing
1.Watch a video concerning how to write a blog.
2.Read Sarah’s travel blog and tell what each paragraph is mainly about.
From the first paragraph, we know when, where, how Sarah went travelling, what she saw and who she met during the trip.
From the second paragraph, we know the location and history of Queenstown.
From the third and fourth paragraphs, we know what Sarah did, who she met and what she thought about the life in Queenstown.

For destination, we can say something about location, history, features, such as scenery, people and life there.
And for travelling experience, what I saw, what I did and how I felt can be included.

Today, I visited Gulangyu in Xiamen, one of the most famous tourist destinations in southern China, with my classmates. While we were lost in the maze-like lanes on the island, we met a warm-hearted resident who showed us the way. He also told a lot about Gulangyu. What did he say? Well, it is famous for its music tradition. The island inspires generations of musicians, thus becoming the birthplace of many music masterpieces. It is the wonderful music that adds vigour to the life in Gulangyu.

Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, lies at a major intersection of the Pearl River system. Historically, the city has been a key centre of trade in southern China, and since 2004, it has played host to the annual China-ASEAN Expo.
Nanning is also celebrated as one of the greenest cities in China. Thanks to its wet subtropical climate, lush greenery (葱葱郁郁的草木) 1 much of this part of China, while thousands of years of limestone erosion (石灰石侵蚀)have helped to create this dramatic karst landscape. 2 within these mountains are villages that were once among the poorest in the country. These days they are busy reinventing themselves as hotbeds of rural tourism and adventure sports, like rock climbing.
Further to the west, in Leye County, the Pearl Rivers’ tributaries(支流)have created an even more remarkable sight. Giant sinkholes that are some of the biggest and deepest on the planet, 3
as much as 600 metres down into the earth. Most were formed by underground rivers and streams, 4 at the limestone bedrock, until the ground above collapsed. Some contain entire underground river and cave systems, extending across several dozen kilometres. Here, we find virgin forest filled with exotic flora and fauna(遍布奇异动植物的原始森林), where few, if any, humans have ever set foot before.
Efforts are being made to explore these giant cavities(洞), but because of their enormous scale and the difficulty of access, many of the vast underground networks remain unmapped. Perhaps there really may be other worlds down there, right beneath our feet.
