      教学重点:
      1.Summarize the main idea f each paragraph using newly learned wrds and expressins, pay attentin t the chesin and cherence f the text, and then list majr events in the histry f space explratin and China's achievements in this field.
      2.Analyze and summarize the structure f the text and language features f a ppular science article frm their wn pinin abut the imprtance f carrying n space explratin cnsidering the latest space explratin prgrams in China.
      教学难点:

      2. Learn t reflect n the elements cntribute t the success f space explratin,
      教学过程
      ·Step 1. Lead-in
      Activity1:warming up
      Shw the students a vide abut space. Aruse their interest in space.
      Activity2:Read fr predictin
      Students lk at the title, the pictures t think abut the tpic and predict the cntent f the article based n this infrmatin.
      Ask students t talk abut Chang’e 5 r ther latest space explratin prgrams
      and think abut the main reasns fr space explratin (n page 40).
      (Tip: The teacher ffers sme reference wrds t students: vehicle, universe,
      satellite, launch, rbit, data, etc.)
      ·Invite students t present what they knw abut space explratin.
      Step 2. Skimming
      Activity 1:Read fr gist
      Students scan the cntent f the article and chse the writing style and resurce.
      Activity 2:Read fr structure
      Students read the text and chse the crrect sentence A-D t fill each gap.Step 2 Predicting
      ·Ask students t read the title and lk at the three pictures n pages 40 and 41,
      and then predict what the text is abut.(Ask students the fllwing questins:
      1)What genre is the text? 2)Where can yu find this type f article?)
      Invite sme students t reprt their answers.
      Step3. scanning
      Activity 1: Read fr structure.
      Student summarize the main idea fr each paragraph.
      Activity 2. Read fr details..
      Ask the student t answer the questin and fill the frm.
      1). The authr tells us many events abut space explratin, and hw are the events arranged?
      2). Try t find ut all the detailed infrmatin and fill in the blanks.
      Activity 3. Read fr language features.
      Ask the student t answer the questin and find the sentences.
      1). Did the authr use technical terms t explain science? Wh might be the readers f such an article?
      2). In this article, what writing techniques are used? Find the sentences.
      Activity 4: Read fr attitude.
      Ask the student t analyze and then translate the sentences int Chinese.
      1). Hwever, sme scientists were determined t help humans realize their dream t explre space.
      2). These disasters made everyne sad and disappinted, but the desire t explre the universe never died.
      3). Despite the difficulties, scientists hpe future discveries will nt nly enable us t understand hw the universe began, but als help us survive well int the future.
      Step 4. Reflectin
      Activity 1: Ask the students t think abut the questin
      and discuss with each ther.
      1). What make the impssible dream a reality?
      2). After learning the whle passage, d yu still think Space is the final frntier?
      Step 4. Assignment
      Space explratin has cme a lng way and we’ll cntinue t push the bundaries f it. Surf the internet t find mre abut thse wh cntribute t this industry, astrnauts, scientists and s n. Meanwhile, cnsider hw yu can d yur part.
