      一、Teaching Objectives
      In this class, students will:
      1. identify what health prblems David,Nancy and Jeff have and the schl nurse's advice fr them.
      2. learn sme basic knwledge abut hw t deal with the cmmn health prblems.
      3. ask fr and give advice n different health prblems using the target language.

      1. Present sme pictures related t cmmn health prblems and let students shut ut
      the prblems in English as quickly as pssible.
      2. When it cmes t the new wrds r expressins,the teacher can present the prnunciatin and
      explain the meaning using the pictures. Fr example, the teacher can say:
      When bld cmes ut frm the nse ,it's called a “nsebleed”.
      We may have a nsebleed when smething hits the nse.
      Teaching Tip:During the prcess,the teacher shuld keep the activity fast but nt rushed.
      Pause 2-3 secnds after shwing each picture t let all students identify, especially slwer
      learners. Use a hand clap r “Freeze!” t regain fcus if the class gets t nisy during shuting.
      Free Talk
      1. Ask students t talk abut the fllwing questin in pairs.
      What shuld we d if we have these health prblems?
      2. Invite sme students t share their answers like this:
      T:What shuld we d if we have a sre thrat?
      S1:I think we shuld drink mre water.
      T:What shuld we d if we have a stmachache?
      S2:We shuld put smething warm n the stmach.
      ...

      1. Have students read the prblems and actins t make sure they understand the meanings.
      2. Ask students t d the matching exercise and check answers in pairs.
      3.Check the answers with the whle class.
      2b
      1. Have students read the instructin and predict sme related infrmatin. The teacher
      can use the fllwing questins as prmpts.
      Where d the cnversatins happen?
      Wh are the speakers?.
      2. Have students listen t the cnversatins and circle the health prblems the students have in 2a and figure ut wh gt sme medicine frm the schl nurse.
      3.Check the answers with the whle class.

      1. Ask students t read the table in 2c carefully t identify the key infrmatin they shuld grasp
      while listening. Students can be encuraged t fill in the blanks frm memry.
      2. Play the recrding again and have students cmplete the schl nurse's advice fr each student.
      3. Invite sme students t share their answers and then check answers with the whle class.
      4. Have students listen again with the cmpleted infrmatin.
      Language Tip:sft drinks指“不含酒精的饮料”,尤其常用来表示“碳酸饮料”(如可乐、雪碧、苏打水等),也可泛指其他非酒精饮品(如果汁、汽水等)。结合语境,这里指的是“碳酸饮料”。
      Retell
      1. Have students retell the students’health prblems and the nurse's advice fr them accrding
      t the cmpleted table.
      2. Remind students t pay attentin t the mdal verbs while retelling.

      1. Present each picture in 2d and guide students t call ut the crrespnding health prblem.
      2.Present the health prblems and the actins n the blackbard. Fr the new wrds and
      expressins,the teacher can explain the meanings and the usage. Fr example,a runny
      nse is when liquid cmes ut f yur nse , ften when yu have a cld.
      3. Have students wrk in pairs and take turns t ask fr and give advice n these health
      prblems. During the prcess, the teacher can walk arund t make sure each student is
      engaged in the activity. Crrect prnunciatin/grammar gently and prvide prmpts if needed.
      4. Invite 1-2 pairs t rle-play their cnversatins in class and have ther students give feedback..
      Summary
      Ask students t summarize hw t talk abut a hliday experience.
      Hmewrk
      Finish the related exercises in the bks prduced by Yuyi.
      Blackbard Design
      Write the language pints and useful expressins n the blackbard.
      This lessn went smthly verall. Students were actively engaged in the “Lk and Say”activity, which effectively activated their prir knwledge. Hwever, there were sme areas fr imprvement. During the retelling part,a few weak students struggled with using“shuld/ shuldn't” crrectly, even with sentence frames.Mre mdel practice befre the task might help.
