Prcedures:
Activity 1:
Play a matching game.
Hld up a set f flash cards with the printed wrds f the schl things; say the wrds ne by ne.
Get the children t chse frm anther set f flash cards with pictures f the schl things t match the pictures with the wrds.
Then rearrange the rders f the printed wrds.
Ask the children t match the pictures with the wrds again. (Or, rearrange the rders f the pictures and ask the children t match the printed wrds with the pictures)
D it several times, mainly with individual pupils.
Activity 2:
Circle the wrds. (D the “ search and circle “ activity in the activity Bk One, Page 7, Exercise 4, Unit 2. )
In this activity, the children are asked t search fr the wrds in the grid abut schl things lking at the pictures and wrd under the grid and then circling the wrds.
Check the answers.
Activity 3:
A matching game. (D the “lk and stick activity in the activity Bk One, Page 7, Exercise 4, Unit 2“
In this activity, the children are asked t stick the pictures f schl things nt the stars matching with the printed wrd in the ballns tied t the stars.
Check the answers.
Activity 4:
Let’s chant a rhyme. (D the “Let’s chant “sectin n Page 11. )
Put n the blackbard a big piece f paper n which the chant is written.
Listen t the chant tgether nce.
Tell the children they need t stick the pictures f schl things beside the crrespnding printed wrds in the chant after they hear the chant fr the secnd time.
Listen t the chant and encurage the children t chant the rhyme with actins.
Gets ne pupil t be Andy hlding a bag lking sad and anxius, anther tw pupils t be Kt and Bbby respectively.
Every time chanting the rhyme, get Kt r Bbby t take a bk r a pencil
Or ruler frm Andy’s bag and each grup begins t chant with vivid tne.
As sn as the chant finishes, Kt r Bbby says “Oh, srry!” and gives the Schl things back t Andy.
Swap identities s that all fur grups have the chance t say ther sentences
