Activity 1:
Sing the sng; invite sme pupils t sing in frnt f the class, hlding the number prmpt cards accrdingly. Teacher culd nte dwn the children’s perfrmances as a frmative assessment.
Activity 2:
D “Let’s chant”
Intrduce the tpic f “Let’s chant” by telling the children that yu are ging t say an actin chant.
Talk with the children abut “tie yur she”,”clse the dr’, “pick up the sticks” i.e. Can yu tie yur she? Xiaming, clse the dr, please. Pick up the sticks. Pick up the dll. Get up late? Dn’t be late fr schl. Be a gd by.
Play the tape twice; try t find ut the rhythm. Shw hw t beat where necessary.
Chant the rhyme and beat the rhythm (pay special attentin t the stresses f the chunks). Invite the children t jin the by ding actins.
Ask the children t chant nce with beating, nce mre with actins, since “start again” can’t strngly be represented by actin. Just beat it.
Divide the children int grups t chant different verses in successin.
Activity 3:
D “Let’s Make”. An alternative arrangement might be:
Preparatin: t shrten the time spent n the activity, the teacher can ask the children t cut the tissue (any clur the child likes) int small pieces befre this lessn.
Reduce the prcedures: ask the children t chse their wn number secretly, and then glue the number. Cver the number with the small pieces f tissue.
Activity 4:
remind the children t chant the rhyme t their parents and end the class.
