Activity 1:
Play a guessing game.
Bring the puppet Andy and his new schl bag int classrm again.
Andy asks the children t guess what’s in his bag.
Activity 2:
Let’s sing. (D the “Let’s sing “sectin n page 10. )
Play tape and shw the schl items at the same time t help the children understand the sng.
Encurage the children t sing the sng “I have a new pencil “with actins f shwing their new schl things.
Within this perid, teach them t say the wrd “new” and the sentence pattern “I have” crrectly in a meaningful cntext.
Activity 3:
Let’s lk fr the wners! ( D the “ Listen and match “ activity in the Activity Bk One, Page 6, Exercise 2, Unit 2. )
In this activity, ask the children t match the schl things with their wners after listening t the tape.
Check the answers.
Activity 4:
Lk at my new schl things! (D the “Let’s try” sectin n Page 13)
Ask the children t display the schl things in their schl bags n the desks.
Tell thers within the grups abut them using language like “I have a pencil in my bag, it’s new! “, “I have an eraser and a ruler. “etc.
