    一、Teaching Objectives
    1. By the end f this assessment, students will be able t:
    Review and cnslidate the knwledge f different utdr activities.
    Master the usage f the simple past tense accurately.
    Utilize the new wrds in this unit t describe and write abut an utdr activity.
    Prnunce the different -ed endings f verbs in the simple past tense crrectly.
    Understand the benefits f utdr activities and frm a psitive attitude twards
    them.
    2. Enhance students' cmprehensive language skills, including listening, speaking,
    reading and writing.
    3. Cultivate students' autnmus learning ability and cperative learning spirit.
    二、Teaching Key Pints
    1. The key vcabulary and phrases related t utdr activities, such as camp, g
    cycling, g riding, etc.
    2. The rules and usage f the simple past tense, especially the frmatin and
    prnunciatin f regular verbs in the past tense.
    3. Hw t describe an utdr activity in detail using the learned language pints.

    1. The crrect usage f irregular verbs in the simple past tense.
    2. The prnunciatin f different -ed endings f verbs in the simple past tense.
    3. Writing a cmpsitin abut an utdr activity with lgical structure and rich
    expressins.

    1. Task-based teaching methd: Design varius tasks t help students practice and
    master the language pints.
    2. Cmmunicative teaching methd: Encurage students t cmmunicate and

    interact with each ther t imprve their ral English.
    3. Cperative learning methd: Organize students int grups t cmplete tasks
    tgether, cultivating their teamwrk spirit and cperative ability.

    Multimedia equipment, blackbard, chalk, pictures related t utdr activities.
    六、Teaching Prcedures
    Step 1: Warming-up (5 minutes)
    1. Shw sme pictures f utdr activities n the screen and ask students t name
    them.
    2. Have a free talk with students abut their favrite utdr activities and why.
    Step 2: Vcabulary Review (5 minutes)
    1. Display the wrds and phrases related t utdr activities n the screen. Ask
    students t read them alud and spell them.
    2. D a wrd game: Divide the class int grups. One student frm each grup
    cmes t the frnt and acts ut an utdr activity. The ther students in the grup guess
    the wrd r phrase. The grup that guesses the mst wrds crrectly wins.
    Step 3: Simple Past Tense Review (5 minutes)
    1. Explain the rules f the simple past tense, including the frmatin f regular
    verbs (add -ed) and irregular verbs. Give sme examples: play
    played, g
    went.
    2. Shw sme sentences in the simple past tense and ask students t change them
    int present tense. Then shw sme sentences in present tense and ask students t
    change them int past tense.
    3. D a grammar exercise: Chse the crrect frm f the verb in the simple past
    tense t fill in the blanks.
    Step 4: Prnunciatin Practice (5 minutes)
    1. Teach students the prnunciatin rules f different -ed endings f verbs in the
    simple past tense:
    If the verb ends in a viceless cnsnant (except /t/), the -ed ending is
    prnunced as /t/, such as walked, jumped.

    If the verb ends in a viced cnsnant r a vwel, the -ed ending is prnunced
    as /d/, such as played, stayed.
    If the verb ends in /t/ r /d/, the -ed ending is prnunced as /ɪd/, such as wanted,
    needed.
    2. Read sme wrds with -ed endings alud and let students imitate. Then give
    sme sentences and ask students t read them, paying attentin t the prnunciatin f
    -ed endings.
    Step 5: Writing Practice (10 minutes)
    1. Ask students t think abut an utdr activity they have experienced and write
    a cmpsitin abut it. Remind them t use the new wrds and the simple past tense.
    2. Prvide sme useful expressins and sentence structures fr students t refer t.
    3. After writing, ask students t exchange their cmpsitins with their partners fr
    peer review. They shuld check each ther's grammar, spelling and punctuatin
    mistakes.
    Step 6: Grup Discussin (5 minutes)
    1. Ask students t discuss the benefits f utdr activities in grups. Each grup
    shuld chse a spkespersn t present their ideas t the class.
    2. Encurage students t think abut hw t encurage mre peple t participate
    in utdr activities.
    Step 7: Further Study (5 minutes)
    1. Intrduce the further study task: Ask students t search fr mre infrmatin
    abut skiing n the internet and share it with their classmates next class.
    2. Remind students t recrd the key pints and prepare fr the presentatin.
    Step 8: Summary and Hmewrk (5 minutes)
    1. Summarize the key pints f this assessment, including vcabulary, grammar
    and writing skills.
    2. Assign hmewrk: Ask students t review the vcabulary and grammar f this
    unit and write a cmpsitin abut anther utdr activity they want t try.
    七、Teaching Reflectin

    After this assessment, I need t analyze students' perfrmance and respnses t
    adjust my teaching strategies and methds. Fr thse students wh have mastered the
    knwledge well, I will prvide mre challenging tasks t further enhance their language
    skills. Fr thse wh still have difficulties, I will give them individualized guidance and
    additinal exercises t help them cnslidate the knwledge. Als, I will pay mre
    attentin t cultivating students' interest in learning English and their autnmus
    learning ability t imprve the teaching effect.
