OUR STORY
The Fundatin grew frm the passin and curage f ne 6-year-ld by,Ryan Hreljac. Ryan was inspired t take actin as a grade ne student when he learned f the devastating cnsequences fr peple withut access t clean drinking water. He was remarkably determined as he succeeded in rallying his cmmunity t help him raise the funds needed t build ne well in Uganda,Africa. One well that has changed everything. Nw mre than 20 years later,Ryan’s Well Fundatin is a team f peple cmmitted t prviding access t safe water and sanitatin as an essential way t imprve lives in the develping wrld. We als educate peple abut the imprtance f accessing safe water and sanitatin services,and lk t mtivate peple f all ages t take actin in the wrld.

Ryan’s Well Fundatin,tgether with lcal partners prvides access t clean water and sanitatin prjects and hygiene educatin in the prest regins f develping cuntries. We educate and mtivate peple t share ur passin and cntribute t achieving change in the wrld.
OUR WORK
1.We fcus n building clean drinking water surces.
Access t safe and prximate surces f clean water is a basic necessity f life. Withut water,there is n life. Unsafe drinking water may cause serius disease and even death,particularly amng yung children. We build wells rainwater harvesting tanks and natural spring water prtectin systems in regins f develping cuntries where cnsumptin f cntaminated water is the nly ptin.
2.We wrk with reliable lcal partners.
Our strng relatinship with “n the grund” rganisatins with lcal knwledge and expertise ensures we address cmmunity identified needs and pririties. This apprach supprts engagement in the planning and implementatin f prjects,respecting lcal traditins ideas and beliefs. We prvide funding t ur partners t build clean water and sanitatin sites and help in the delivery f hygiene educatin.
3.We cncentrate ur wrk in strategic regins.
We strategically and uniquely fcus ur wrk in the rural and mst remte areas f the prest cuntries in a cncentrated regin;this ensures that we are leaving n cmmunities behind. We wrk in a small number f cuntries in clse prximity t ne anther,such as the case in East and West Africa. This apprach allws us t wrk mre efficiently-cst-effectively building water and sanitatin prjects,facilitating cllabratin with reginal and lcal partners and the mnitring f ur impact.
4. We prvide safe sanitatin sites and hygiene educatin.
Clean water is ne element f a cmprehensive apprach that als includes safe and accessible sanitatin sites and schl—and cmmunity-based educatin n essential hygiene practises. This three element mdel-clean water;sanitatin;hygiene—ptimizes health and well-being utcmes in ur targeted cmmunities.
5.We empwer peple and cmmunities fr lasting results.
Mbilized and engaged cmmunities are vital t ensuring sustainability and lng term results. Village and schl-based cmmittees are established and trained t manage and maintain their clean water surces and sanitatin sites. This includes training f well maintenance technicians and the develpment f expertise t deliver nging hygiene educatin initiatives.

Sir Nichlas Wintn
导读:他被称为“英国辛德勒”的 Wintn爵士。当年,27岁的他安排9辆火车,从纳粹手里救出了669个孩子,让我们一起来看看这善良的力量!
The stry f Sir Nichlas Wintn is the ne that yu wuld imagine culd nly happen n the silver screen. Sir Nichlas Wintn was a British man wh went t heric effrts, ptentially putting himself at risk, during Wrld War I. Sir Wintn was respnsible fr ensuring the safety f 669 Jewish children by aiding their escape frm cuntries ccupied by Nazis. Finally, the Jewish children were brught t England where he wrked t make sure families in his native cuntry wuld help the kids by taking them int their hmes.
Recently, this unbelievable stry has again been making the runds n the Internet, particularly after a rerun f the BBC shw called That’s Life, which featured Sir Wintn. Peple arund the wrld were mved at the details f the stry, with saying it t be the best stry they’ve ever seen.
Sir Wintn kept his entire plan cmpletely secret even his wife had n idea abut his planning until fifty years later. Alter the war, years passed and many peple remained in the dark abut Sir Wintn’s extrardinary achievement. Sme fifty years later, his wife Greta was searching in their huse and discvered a Wintn’s ntebk which dcumented the names f all the children She wrked with BBC and they prduced a TV episde f their prgramme That’s Life that served as an hnur fr Sir Wintn’s wrk.
In 2003, Sir Wintn was knighted by the Queen f England fr his wrk. He als was even nminated fr a Nbel Peace Prize. He als had a small planet named after him by Czech astrnmers. Sir Wintn died peacefully in his sleep at the ld age f 106, in 2015.Leaders arund the wrld paid tribute. Israel’s ambassadr t the United Kingdm, Daniel Taub, said, “He was a her f ur time, having saved 669 Jewish children frm Nazis. His stry, as a pint f light in a perid f darkness, will frever be remembered.”

Tu Yuyu, brn in December, 1930, is a Chinese scientist and educatr. She is best knwn fr discvering artemisinin used t treat malaria, which has saved millins f lives. Fr her wrk, Tu received the 2015 Nbel Prize in Physilgy r Medicine.
Scientists wrldwide had tried ver 240,000 medicines t treat malaria withut success. In 1969, Tu Yuyu then 39 years ld, decided t turn t traditinal Chinese herbs fr pssible slutins. She lked int the Chinese medical classics in histry, visiting traditinal Chinese dctrs all ver the cuntry n her wn. She gathered her findings in a ntebk, in which she recrded 640 methds f treating malaria. She and her team als experimented with ver 2,000 traditinal Chinese herbs.
During this time, her husband was frced t wrk in the cuntryside,and their yung daughter had t take care f herself in Beijing.
Years f research all came dwn t a Chinese herb named qingha. The animal tests shwed it was cmpletely effective in mice and mnkeys, s Tu vlunteered t be the first human subject. “As head f this research grup, I had the respnsibility.” she said. It was safe with her; s she cntinued t try it ut with mre human patients.
In 2007, her ffice was in an ld apartment building in Beijing. Befre 2011, Tu Yuyu had been described as “almst cmpletely frgtten by peple”. Yet in 2015, the Nbel Prize cmmittee said her discveries had given the wrld pwerful new ways t fight a pwerful disease which affected hundreds f millins f peple every year. In terms f imprving human health and reducing suffering, Ms. Tu’s cntributin is beynd wrds.
China’s Tu Yuyu, Irish-brn William Campbell and Japan’s Satshi Omura jintly wn the 2015 Nbel Prize in Physilgy r Medicine, the Nbel Assembly at Sweden’s Karlinska Institute annunced. Tu wn half f the prize fr her discveries cncerning a nvel therapy against malaria while Campbell and Omura wn the ther half f the prize fr a new drug that has helped the battle against a series f parasitic diseases.
