Officials spent tw weeks trying t get the whales t tum back twards the cean. Bilgists played recrdings f whale-feeding as well as unfamiliar sunds t try t make the whales head back t the Pacific Ocean.
Hwever, Delta and Dawn gave scientists an unexpected chance t study humpback whales in the wild. Scientists were able t gather sund recrdings and watch their behavirs. This is especially exciting because humpback whales are an endangered species. What’s mre, scientists dn’t usually have the chance t bserve them in their natural habitat.
“All thse things are very hard t get,” said Oswald, “s what we are ding is filling up the knwledge blank n humpback whales in the wild.” Scientists shuld be able t use this infrmatin t help ther lst whales in the future.
