"The number f students taking the Advanced Placement test in Chinese, intrduced in 2007, has grwn s fast that it is likely t pass German this year as the third mst tested Advanced Placement language, after Spanish and French. A decade ag, mst f the schls with Chinese prgrams were n the east and west casts. But in recent years, many schls have started Chinese prgrams in heartland states, including Ohi and Illinis in the Midwest, Texas and Gergia in the Suth, and Clrad and Utah in the Rcky Muntain West.

It was smewhere between spring and summer, my mm and I were driving thrugh the cuntryside. Back then, I was 13 years ld, and always felt unhappy with Mm. But little did I knw that this trip was ging t be a special ne.
