设计说明 本课时学习遵守规则的相关写作。教学时先从复习重点单词短语入手,导入新课,然后讨论家规,为写作做好铺垫,帮助学生完成写作任务。通过Self Check的练习,进一步巩固本单元重要句型。 教学目标 通过本课时的学习,让学生达成以下目标: 1. 知识目标: (1)复习含有情态动词的被动语态; (2)情态动词+be+及物动词的过去分词。 2. 能力目标: (1)谈论被允许做的事; (2)表达同意或不同意。 3. 情感目标: 教育学生遵规守纪,培养他们的规则意识。 重点难点 1. 重点:让学生能够运用被动语态谈论学校、家庭生活的规则,学会与老师、 父母进行沟通。 2. 难点:(1)让学生掌握被动语态的用法; (2)让学生运用所学知识完成写作任务。 教学准备 PPT课件 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in 1. Revise the following phrases by making oral sentences: get in the way of… as much as sb. want(s) on/in the school team grow up achieve one’s dream have nothing against doing sth. end up as be serious about practice doing sth. spend…on care about have a chance to do sth. 2. Free talk Get the students to talk about their home rules freely. T: Hey, boys and girls. Are there any family rules in your home? S1: Yes, I must get home directly after school. I can’t play with my friends on school days. S2: As for me, I’m not allowed to watch TV, even on weekends. That’s really unreasonable! S3: I’m not allowed to watch TV either. Besides, I can’t decide what to wear on my own. My parents always buy me clothes without asking for my advice. 3. Pair work Get the students to make conversations in pairs and present their conversations like: A: Are there any rules in your family, XX? B: Yes, there are. A: What are they?/ What is it? B: I can’t play computer games/… A: Do you agree/disagree with them/it? B: Yes, I agree with them/it. Step 2 Writing 1. With a partner, discuss some rules at home that you agree or disagree with. Make some notes in the chart.
2. Write a diary entry explaining which rule(s) you do not agree with at home and how you think the rule(s) should be changed. Use the following expressions to help you: • I do not agree with… • I think I should be allowed to… • I would like to… • I could… if I … Sample Dear Diary, I do not agree with the rule that I must be home for dinner every day. This is because the rule affects my social life. It takes away important opportunities for me to spend time with friends. As a result, my life is quite boring sometimes. I think I should be allowed to have dinner with my friends once in a while. For example, I would like to hang out with my classmates after dinner on Fridays. I wish my parents will allow me to do this if I promise not to stay out too late and if there is no important family activity on those days. Step 3 Self Check 1.
