Section A (1a—2d) 第1课时
设计说明 本课时学习与推测有关的对话。教学时首先给学生展示一些物品,让学生做出推测,接着向学生解释must, could, might及can’t的用法,从而导入新课,进入教材的学习。然后从听力入手,进入活动1b—1c、2a—2c的学习。通过听对话配对、听对话填空、练习对话等活动,使学生理解对话内容。最后,阅读2d的内容,要求学生理解对话,掌握重要语言知识点,表演对话。通过2d内容了解本单元话题。 教学目标 通过本课时的学习,让学生达成以下目标: 1. 知识目标: (1)单词:whose, truck, picnic, rabbit, attend, valuable, pink, anybody, happening (2)短语:belong to, at the picnic, attend a concert, go to a picnic, the rest of, pick up (3)句子:①... that toy truck must belong to Jane’s little brother. ②I attended a concert yesterday so it might still be in the music hall. ③So it can’t be stolen. ④I’ll call them now to check if anybody has it. 2. 能力目标: (1)学习用must, might, could, can’t表示推断; (2)通过听说训练,学会运用不同句式表达物品的归属。 3. 情感目标: 让学生根据已有事实推测可能性,培养其分析、判断、推理、发现等思维品质。 重点难点 1. 重点:学会询问某件物品的发明时间及用途的基本句型。 2. 难点:运用一般过去时的被动语态讨论某件物品的发明时间及用途。 教学准备 PPT课件,1b,2a,2b,2d的录音 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in First, show the students some pictures and get them to make inferences. Look at the notebook. Whose notebook is this? It belongs to Zhang Ling. =It is Zhang Ling’s. Explain: belong to“属于”,后接名词或代词的宾格形式。 A: Is it a boy’s T-shirt or a girl’s? B: It must be a boy’s T-shirt. It can’t be a girl’s T-shirt. A: Yes, it belongs to David. —Whose T-shirt is it? —It might/could be Nancy’s. Because it has a photo of Nancy. Step 2 Work on 1a Look at the picture on Page 57. Write the things you see in the correct columns in the chart.
Step 3 Listening Listen and match each person with a thing and a reason.

Step 4 Pair work Work on 1b. A: Whose volleyball is this? B: It must be Carla’s. She loves volleyball. Step 5 Listening 1. Work on 2a. Bob and Anna found a schoolbag at the park. A: There’s a T-shirt, ... B: The person must go to… Ask some pairs to present the conversations. Step 7 Reading Get the students to look at the picture and guess: what’s the matter with Linda? Read the conversation. Explain some language items. 1. valuable adj. 贵重的 anybody pron. 任何人 anything valuable: 形容词修饰不定代词,要放在不定代词之后。 2. What’s wrong?=What’ s the matter? / What’s the trouble? 3. must have picked it up must have done 一定做过…… Role-play the conversation. Get the students to watch the video and role-play the conversation. Listen to the conversation and fill in the blanks. Linda’s really worried. She can’t find her schoolbag. She ________ yesterday so it ________ in the music hall. There isn’t anything valuable in her schoolbag. So it ________ stolen. Then she remembers that she ________ after the concert and had her schoolbag with her _______. So it ________ at the park. And she thinks somebody must have ________. Linda will call them now to check if anybody has it. Check the answers.
