In the nging battle amng Tiger Mms, French Mamas, and everyne else wh wants t knw what is the best way t raise their kids, a new study adds evidence that the extreme tiger style may d mre harm than gd. Authritarian(专制的) parents are mre likely t end up with disrespectful children with vilent behavir, the study fund, cmpared t parents wh listen t their kids with the gal f gaining trust.
It was the first study t lk at hw parenting styles affect the way teens view their parents and, in turn, hw they behave. The study cnsidered three general styles f parenting. Authritative(威严的) parents are demanding and cntrlling while als being warm and sensitive t their children's needs. Authritarian parents, n the cntrary, are demanding and cntrlling withut the appearance f care, attachment and receptiveness. They take a “my way r the highway” apprach. Permissive(放任的) parents, the third grup, have qualities f warmth and respect, but they set few bundaries and carry ut few rules.
Using data n early 600 kids frm an nging study f middle schl and high schl students in New Hampshire, researchers frm the University f New Hampshire were able t find “my way r the highway” parenting with mre vilent behavir like rbbery, drug-taking, and attacking smene else with the intentin f hurting r killing them. Firm but lving parenting, n the ther hand, led t fewer lawbreakers. Permissive parenting, surprisingly, didn't seem t make much difference.
T explain the link between parenting styles and behavir f kids, the researchers suggest that what matters mst is hw reasnable kids think their parents' pwer is. This sense cmes when kids think that their parents are making the best decisins fr them and believe that they need t d what their parents say even if they dn't always like hw their parents are treating them. When kids respect the pwer f their parents, the researchers reprted in the Jurnal f Adlescence, their behavir is better. Previus research has als linked firm but caring parenting with kids wh have mre self-cntrl and independence.
“When children cnsider their parents t be the reliable figures, they trust the parents and feel that they have a duty t d what their parents tell them,” said lead researcher Pick Trinkner. “This is very imprtant as the parent desn't have t rely n a system f rewards and punishments t cntrl behavir and the child is mre likely t fllw the rules when the parent is nt physically present.”
1.Why are Tiger Mms and French Mamas mentined in the first paragraph?
A.T give an example f authritarian parenting.
B.T shw the advantage f parenting.

    A.Caring parenting.
    B.Permissive parenting.

根据第二段中的“Authritarian take a ‘my way r the highway’ apprach.” 再根据第三段第一句中“researchers frm the University f New Hampshire were able t find ‘my way r the highway’ parenting with mre vilent behavir...”,可知,专制型的教养方式可能会导致孩子的犯罪行为,故选C项。
根据第二段最后一句“Permissive parents, the third grup, have qualities f warmth and respect, but they set few bundaries and carry ut few rules.” 故选A项。
    1.evidence n. 极端 3.end up with以……
In the nging battle amng Tiger Mms, French Mamas, and everyne else wh wants t knw what is the best way t raise their kids, a new study adds evidence that the extreme tiger style may d mre harm than gd.
1.B 根据上文Teenagers d nt always agree with adults.
Sme teenagers wrk in the frest r n the farm. Sme learn t make things like tables and chairs.
