    3. Improve listening abilities by listening practice.

    How to talk about health problems and give advice.

    Teaching aids:

    A recorder; a multimedia or a blackboard.

    Main Procedures in Teaching:

    、设疑  (5')

    1. Lead in.

    T: All the students stand up please, let us play a game. Touch the parts of your body. Let's see which student do it correctly and quickly. If you are wrong, please sit down, the last one who stands is the winner. Ready? Touch your nose /head /right ear...(the winner will get 5 points).

    What's this? This is my head. Oh, I have a headache. What's the matter with me?...

    S: You have a headache…(Let the students try to guess other illnesses).

    T: Today let's learn Unit 1 What's the matter?

    Show learning goals.

    1). Words: let the Ss remember the new words and learn to use the words of the parts of the body

    2).Talk about health problems and give advice.

    3. Then try your best to ask some questions according to the title and teaching aims.

    二、探究 (15')

    1.探究一: Learn by yourselves.

    SB Page 1, 1a work in pairs &check each other

    探究二:Do 1b. Listen and check the answer.

    探究三:Do 1c. Work in pairs ,make conversations to talk about students' problems.

    探究四:

    1).Do Page 2, 2a ,listen and number the pictures .

    2).Point out the items in 2b. Listen carefully. People are talking about health problems they have and getting advice. Play the tape twice .Match the problems with the advice .

    3).Check the answers.

    4).Do 2c .Make conversations using the information in 2a and 2b.

     1.The important phrases

    (3) have a fever               (4) lie down and rest

    (5)drink some hot tea with honey    (6) take one's temperature

    2. The important sentences:                                               

    (1) What's the matter (with sb)?

    (2) You should take your temperature.

    (3)What should she do?

    The students evaluate.  

    2. The teacher gives advice and explanation. 

    1).躺 lie过去式:lay, 过去分词:lain.

    撒谎lie过去式:lied, 过去分词:lied.

    产蛋lay过去式:laid, 过去分词:laid.

    .What's the matter?怎么了,其后常与介词with 连用,What's the matter with him?

    类似的问句还有:What's wrong (with you )? What's the trouble (with you)? What's your trouble?

    3).情态动词should的用法 should 本身不能单独作谓语,必须和动词原形连用。should 没有人称和数的变化,其否定形式为shouldn't. should 常用来表示劝告、建议、认为某人应该做某事。

    五、运用 (10')

    (一)、Study further. Do you have any questions about this lesson?

    The differences between sore and ache.

    sore +身体部位        身体部位+ache

    (二)、Do some exercises.  

    1. The students make up some exercises by themselves.

    2. Prepare some exercises for students. 

    I.根据句意完成句子。

    1.你怎么了?我不太舒服。

    你应该躺下休息。   

    You should _______ ______ and rest.

    Please give me some ________(建议) .
