Activity 1. Cmpleting the passage with the crrect frms f the wrds in the bx.

When asked by a TV reprter t talk abut air and water quality in his hmetwn, (1) Qi Mu nted, “The air is great nw, and we can take mre walks and enjy being utdrs again.” He felt quite pleased because the villagers were living ________ with nature nce mre. Hwever, he culd nt frget abut an earlier time when his village had been struggling with a serius air quality prblem.
In the 1990s, ________ frm a nearby city was usually brught t the village (2) “Hw can we make use f this?” the villagers wndered. Sn they fund that garbage culd be used t feed pigs.
