Summary:
*直接引述别人的原话,叫 _________;通常都用____________括起来;
*用自己的话把别人的话陈述出来,叫________;它多数情况下构成一个 ________。

一随主
二随宾
三不变
一随主:直接引语中第一人称变为与主句的主语相一致的人称。
二随宾:直接引语中第二人称变为和间接宾语(即听话人)相一致的人称。
第三人称不更新:直接引语中第三人称变为间接宾语时,人称不变。
1.“I dn’t knw that,” he said. He said that he didn’t knw that.
2.She said t me,“Yu can g with me.” She tld me that I culd g with her.
3.She said t me,“He will g hme.” She tld me that he wuld g hme.

二、时态的变化
直接引语变成间接引语时,如果主句是过去的某种时态,则大多数情况下间接引语的时态应相应向前推一个时态。
“I dn’t knw that,” he said. He said that he didn’t knw that.
*直接引语变成间接引语时,以下情况,时态不变:
(1)主句的谓语动词是现在时,从句时态不变;
He says,“I didn't brke the windw.” He says that he didn't brke the windw.
(2)直接引语描述:客观事实、真理名言、习惯性动作,从句时态不变;
“The earth mves arund the sun,” the teacher tld us.
The teacher tld us that the earth mves arund the sun.
(3)如果直接引语中由具体的过去某年/月/日作状语,从句时态不变。
The ld man said,“I was brn n April 20,1949.”
The ld man said (that) he was brn n April 20,1949.

四、句型的变化
①直接引语是陈述句,间接引语用连接词that引导,that可省略。
Jhn tld her, “I’d like t see a mvie nw.”
→ Jhn tld her (that) he wuld like t see a mvie then.
②直接引语是一般疑问句,间接引语用whether或if引导,疑问语序变成陈述语序,谓语动词say/said 变成ask/asked。
The reprter asked, “Will plar bears die ut because f climate change?”
→ The reprter asked whether/if plar bears wuld die ut because f climate change.
③直接引语是特殊疑问句,间接引语用原来的疑问词引导,疑问语序
变为陈述语序。
The teacher asked, “Where have yu been?”
④直接引语是祈使句,间接引语变为ask/tell/rder/advise sb (nt) t d.
He said t Ann, “Tell me yur prblem.”→He tld Ann t tell him her prblem.
“Be careful with the dg, bys,” she said. →She warned the bys t be careful with the dg.
