      The theme f this unit is cultural diversity in this wrld. Students begin by diving int American fd, then learn smething abut the histry and culture f San francisc and the Chinese experience in America. After that, they will be briefly intrduced ethnic minrity cultures in China. After reading an intrductin t San Francisc's Chinatwn, they will make a travel brchure fr turists cming t visit China. It is hped that students will nt just learn abut ther cuntries, but will learn hw t better understand, appreciate, reflect n, and describe their wn cuntry frm the examples prvided in the unit.
