At the river, the ugly duckling swam well, just like all the ther ducklings. But the ther ducklings still laughed at him and tld him t g away. It made the pr duckling very sad, s he decided t search fr a new hme. He met many ther birds, but all f them thught that he was ugly t. They did nt want him t live with them.One day, the duckling met a cat and a hen. "May I stay with yu?" he asked hpefully. But the tw animals said n.They did nt like him because he culd nt purr r lay eggs!
Sme days later, the ugly duckling came t a lake. There, he saw three beautiful swans with lng necks and white feathers."I wish I lked like yu!" he cried. "My friend, yu d lk like us! Lk in the water!" ne f the swans said. The duckling lked dwn, and t his surprise, he saw that he was a beautiful white swan t！
