Task 1

Step 1 Warming-up

Guide Ss to talk about the war’s damage.

【设计意图】引导学生谈论战争带来的危害，自然过渡到本课的话题。

Step 2 Pre-listening

1. Guide Ss to learn about World War II by pictures and questions.

(1) When did World War II break out and end?

(2) Which country do you know joined it?

(3) Which country won the war at last?

【设计意图】通过展示图片和回答问题，帮助学生了解二战，进一步了解战争的危害，引导学生热爱和平，反对战争。

2. Guide Ss to look the pictures and learn the key phrases.

【设计意图】通过图片学习重点短语，为接下来的听力扫除障碍。

3. Introduce Anne and her daily and discuss Anne’s life during the war.

(4) What does Millie hope?

3. Guide Ss to listen to the tape and read the dialogue.

Step 3 Post-listening

1. Guide Ss to make a conversation about other stories about the children in the war in pairs.

2. Guide Ss to think and discuss what might be the dreams of Anne and other children in the war for the future.
