Unit 1 There are thirty students in my class.
设计说明 通过听力练习和对话演练,提升学生的听说和朗读能力。学习本模块的新单词、短语和句型,学习新语言点,增加学生的语言积累。从本模块开始学习一个新的句型—— there be句型。练习朗读中的重读,提升学生在英语口语表达中的规范性和美感度。通过对应练习,巩固学生对单词、短语、句型和语法的掌握,提升运用能力。 教学目标 通过本单元的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1. 知识目标 掌握本单元新单词及短语: computer, furniture, map, picture, television, wall, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety, really, many, how many, there, lot, a lot of, oh, any, world, tree。 2. 能力目标 (1)能够听懂关于谈论班级的对话;用正确的语音、语调朗读对话。 (2)学习there be 句型的基本用法。 3. 情感目标 通过听说训练,培养热爱学校的意识。 重点难点 重点: 能够听懂关于谈论班级的对话 难点: 学习there be 句型的基本用法 教学准备 PPT课件;活动2、3、4、5的录音 授课时数 2课时 教学过程 Step 1 Leading in 1. Ask the students to look around, and then ask what they know about their classroom, asking“What’s in our classroom?”. 2. Point at different things around the room asking what“this”, “that”, “these”and “those”are. Remind them to use these words in their questions and think about the meaning. 3. Use a student example(e. g. computer)and ask“What about a computer?”to introduce“There is a(n)...”and do several single objects. Repeat chorally and individually. 4. Then elicit and introduce plurals with “some” the same way using student examples, “There are some...”Repeat chorally and individually. Step 2 Warming up 1. Ask the students to look at the pictures and talk about them. (Activity 1 on Page 14) Step 3 Listen and read 1. Ask the students to listen and choose the correct picture in Activity 1. Answers: Picture 1 2. Ask the students to underline the correct answers according to Activity 2. 1) There are 30/40 students in Betty’s class. 2) There are 16/14 boys in her class. 3) There isn’t/is a computer on teacher’s desk. 4) There is/isn’t a map on the wall. 5) There is/isn’t a television. Ask the students to listen and answer the questions in Activity 3. 1) Is Linda’s classroom big? 2) How many students are there in her class? 3) How many students are there in Daming’s class? There are twenty. 4) No, there isn’t. 5) No, there aren’t. Step 4 Practice 1. T: Now complete the table.

(2)Play the recording again and stop at the end of each line. Ask the whole class to repeat. (3)Ask the students to practise the sounds in pairs. 2. Listen and repeat the numbers. (Activity 5 on Page 15) (1)Ask the students to look at the numbers and try saying them to themselves or work with a partner. (2)Play the recording, and ask them to listen first. (3)Play the recording again and pause it for them to repeat chorally and individually. 3. Match the words with the numbers. (Activity 6 on Page 15) (1)Ask the students to match the written numbers and the figures individually and then check with a partner. (3) Check the answers and the spelling with the class as a whole, correcting any mistakes. 4. Work in pairs. Write about your classroom. (Activity 7 on Page 15) (1)Ask the students to read the words in the table and count up how many there are of each item in the classroom. (2) Elicit some questions and answers in open pairs. (e.g. —How many desks are there in our classroom? —There are 30 desks in our classroom. ) 5. Work in pairs. Talk about your ideal classroom. Now ask and answer. A: How many...are there in your classroom? B: There are... A: Is there a...? B: Yes, there is. /No, there isn’t. A: Are there...? B: Yes, there are. /No, there aren’t. Step 6 Language points 1. furniture 不可数名词,意为“家具”,无复数形式,不能用 a/an, many, few等修饰,但可以用much, little, a lot of等修饰。“一件家具”用a piece of furniture表示;“一套家具”用a set of furniture表示。furniture 作主语时,谓语动词用单数形式。 The furniture in the room is very nice. 这个房间里的家具很漂亮。 There is a lot of furniture in this shop. 这家商店里有很多家具。 2. Linda, what’s your classroom in England like?琳达,你们英格兰的教室是什么样子的? “What’s+sth. +like?”意为“某物是什么样子的?”,用于询问某物的特点、性质等,相当于“How’s+sth. ?”。like 此处用作介词,意为“像”。 —What’s your house like?=How is your house?你们的房子什么样? —It’s very big. 非常大。 [拓展](1)“What’s+sb. +like?”常用来询问某人的性格特征。 —What’s your father like?你爸爸是一个怎样的人? —He’s very friendly. 他很友好。 (2)当用来询问某人的身材或长相,即外貌时,其结构为“What+do/does+ sb. +look like?”,回答时可用“Sb. +be+形容词.”或“Sb.+have/has+形容词+名词.”。 Step 7 Homework 1. Learn how to introduce and talk about your friend’s classroom. 2.
