Language points
1. Linda, what’s your classroom in England like? 琳达,你在英国的教室是什么样子的?
What’s…like? 意为“……怎么样?”该句型也常用来询问人的性格、品质。
2. There are thirty students in my class. 我的班里有三十名学生。
There is a map of England. 有一张英国地图。
there be句型,表示“某地有某人(物)”。
句式结构:There be+主语+地点.
注意:
当be动词后面的主语是可数名词单数或不可数名词时,be动词要用单数形式is。当be动词后面的主语是可数名词复数时,要用are。
3. How many students are there in your class in Beijing? 在北京你们班里有多少学生?
本句为There be句型的特殊疑问句,结构为:
How many +名词复数+ are there +地点?
