教学过程

◆Step 1　Leading in

Presentation by showing the picture of sports things in 1a.

T:Look at this picture.What’s this in English?(Point to the sports things and teach the new words.)

Ss:It’s a basketball/tennis ball/...

T:Can you spell it,please?

Ss:...

◆Step 2　1a

1.T:Please read the words in 1a and look at the things in the picture.Match the words with the things in the picture.

2.Students read and learn the new words in 1a,match the words with the things in the picture by themselves.

3.Check their work in class.(见课件)

◆Step 3　Listening 1b

1.T:Read the words in the box in 1b.Then listen and circle the words you hear.

2.Then play the tape.Students listen and circle the words in 1b.

3.Check the answers.(见课件)

◆Step 4　Pair work 1c

1.Ask the class to read the conversation in 1c aloud.The teacher shows how to read it.

T:When we read a Yes/No question “Do you have...?”,we use a rising tone.Please read the sentences after me.“Do you have a ping-pong↗bat/ball?”

Ss read aloud.

T:↘Yes,I↘do./↘No,I↘don’t.

　2.Ss read aloud the conversation.Then practice the conversation in pairs.

3.Then ask them to talk about the things in the picture in 1a in class.

◆Step 5　Listening 2a & 2b

Work on 2a

1.T:Read the instruction of 2a and number the pictures [1—4] according to the conversations.

2.Play the tape and get the students to listen to the conversations and number the pictures.

3.Play the tape again and check the students’ work.(见课件)

Work on 2b

1.Show the pictures of things in 2b and ask questions.

T:What balls are these?

Ss:A tennis ball,a basketball,a soccer ball and a volleyball.

T:Now,listen to each conversation and tell which conversation is about tennis ball,basketball,soccer ball and volleyball.

2.Students listen again and answer the questions.Match the pictures in 2a with the balls.

3.T:Now,please listen to the conversations again.And check your work.(见课件)

◆Step 6　Pair work 2c

1.T:Now look and read the model dialogue in 2c.Ask and answer in pairs.

A:Does Jane have a tennis ball?

B:No,she doesn’t.

2.Then continue asking and answering questions about the people in 2a like this:

T:Does Paul have a soccer ball?

Ss:No,he doesn’t.

T:Does Alan have one?

Ss:Yes,he does.

◆Step 7　Role-play the conversation 2d

1.T:Look at the picture in 2d.What can you see in the picture?What are they going to do?Now read the conversation in pairs.

2.The students read the conversation.Check the answers to the questions.

3.The teacher should explain some language points.

Learn the new words and important sentences of this part by heart.
