1.听说读写本课时单词。
2.学会用What’s this/that in English? It’s a/an...句型指认我们周围存在的简单事物。
教学过程
◆Step 1 Leading in
1.Warming up by reviewing the imprtant sentences learnt in Unit 1 like this:
T:Gd mrning,bys and girls!
Ss:Gd mrning!
T:Hw are yu?
S1:I’m fine,thanks.And hw are yu?
T:I’m OK./Fine,thanks.
Then ask students t practice in pairs like that.
2.Shw sme pictures t students and teach them t learn the new wrds:map,cup,ruler,pen,range,jacket,key and dg.The students read them after the teacher twice and then read them by themselves.
3.T:The sentence “What’s this/that in English?” means “这个/那个用英语怎么说?”.It is used t ask the name f smething.We shuld answer it like this:“It’s a / an + nun”.Here “It” is used t refer t this r that.What’s = What is,which means “是什么?”.We use “this” t refer t smething we are hlding r that is very clse t us.We use “that” t refer t smething that is far frm us.
Then the teacher writes the imprtant sentences and knwledge pints n the blackbard.

利用图片信息,由复习巩固第一单元的内容自然过渡到 1a 的学习任务。
◆Step 2 Lk and write 1a
1.Have students lk at the picture and say ut the names f the things in it.Crrect their prnunciatin.
2.Ask students t write the names f the things.The teacher shuld pay attentin t whether students can write English wrds crrectly r nt.Students check the answers in pairs.The teacher gives help in time.
◆Step 3 1b & 1c
1.Listen and repeat.
2.Shw the picture in 1a again,and then ask students like this:
T:What’s this in English?
S:It’s a/an...
T:What’s that in English?
S:It’s a/an...

3.Explain the difference between “a” and “an” like this:
a和an有相同的意思“一;一个”,它们都修饰可数名词。an 用于元音音素(不是元音字母)之前;a 用于辅音音素(不是辅音字母)之前。比如:an range一个橙子,a pen一支钢笔
4.Students listen t the recrding and read after it.
5.Students practice the cnversatin in pairs and then make their wn similar cnversatins with their partners.
6.Ask sme pairs t act ut their wn cnversatins in frnt f the class.
◆Step 4 Listen and write 2a and 2b
1.Have students lk at the pictures in 2a and say the crrespnding wrds ne by ne.The teacher crrects their prnunciatin in time.
2.Students listen t the recrding and number the pictures[1-8].
3.Students listen t the recrding again and cmplete the wrds under the pictures in 2a.
4.Make up cnversatins with students:
T:What’s this in English?
Ss:It’a a/an...
5.Ask students t read the wrds and cmpare “a” and “an” befre each wrd.
◆Step 5 Listen and repeat 2c
1.Let students read the letters and wrds in each line first.Lead the students t find that all the wrds in each line cntain the same letter and prnunce the same prnunciatin,that is,the letter sund.
2.Students listen t the recrding and read after it.The teacher crrects their prnunciatin.
3.Write the five vwel letters and their phnetic symbls n the blackbard.
4.Students read the wrds by themselves and experience the prnunciatin f vwel letters in different wrds again.
5.教师基于学生的发现适当渗透开音节的知识,告诉学生2c中的单词都是开音节,让学生观察表格,总结开音节的定义,即以一个元音字母结尾,或在元音字母后有一个辅音字母和一个不发音的字母e,这样的重读音节称为开音节。
◆Step 6 Read 2d
1.Let the students read the wrds in the first clumn,and then understand the prnunciatin rules f the vwel letters in the stressed syllables.Have students try t read the new wrds in the first clumn.
2.Let the students read the new wrds in the same way.
◆Step 7 Listen 3a
1.Let students lk at the picture f the rm.There are crrespnding English wrds beside the things.Let students say ut the names f the things.Crrect their prnunciatin.
2.Students listen t the tape and number the things they hear frm 1 t 4.Check the answers tgether.
3.Let students listen t the tape again,read after it and pay attentin t the prnunciatin and intnatin.
◆Step 8 Talk 3b
1.Talk abut the things in 3a.The teacher and a student make a mdel like this:
T:What’s this in English?
S:It’s a cake.
T:What’s that in English?
S:It’s a bike.
2.Let students talk abut the things in the picture in 3a in pairs.Pay attentin t using this and that crrectly.
3.Ask 4 pairs t shw their dialgues in frnt f the class.
◆Step 9 Listen and write 3c
1.The teacher leads students t review the prnunciatin rules f the 5 vwel letters in the stressed syllables.Then let students listen t the tape and fill the missing letters in the wrds accrding t the prnunciatin rules.
2.Students listen t the tape again and crrect the answers tgether.
3.Students read the wrds ludly.

1.Let students read the lyrics f the sng and find the sentences they dn’t understand.Then the teacher explains them like this:

Then let students understand the meanings f ther similar sentences.
2.Students listen t the tape and sing after it three times.The teacher encurages them t sing rhythmically.
3.Let students sing in grups and see which grup sings best.
◆Step 11 Hmewrk
1.Memrize the new wrds learnt tday by heart.
2.Make a dialgue with the sentences we have learned tday.
