◆Step 1 Leading in 1.T:Hello,everyone!Good morning/afternoon! Ss:Good morning/afternoon,Mr./Ms.XX. T:Let’s review the words and conversations in this unit.Answer my questions. T:Do you like sports? Ss:Yes,we do. T:Do you have a basketball? S1:Yes,I do. T:Do you play basketball? S2:Yes,I do. 2.Then talk about other sports with other students. T:Is basketball easy? Ss:No,it isn’t. Students review the target words and sentences to come into the new situation to describe sports.(见课件)
◆Step 2 1a 1.T:Now,look at 1a.Please match the words with the pictures. 2.Students finish the task by themselves. 3.Check the answers.(见课件) ◆Step 3 Listening 1b & 1c 1.T:This is a listening test.You can listen to the tape and check the description words you hear in 1a. 2.Play the tape.Get Ss to check their words and finish 1b. 3.Check the answers.(见课件) 4.T:Now look at 1c.What does Paul say about these activities?Listen to the recording again and write down Paul’s words about them. 5.Then play the tape again.Ss listen and write the description words next to the actions. 6.Check the answers.(见课件) ◆Step 4 Pair work 1d 1.T:What do you think about the activities?Now,you are Paul.Your partner is Jenny.Please talk about these activities.First,let’s read the model dialogue in 1d. 2.T:Please use these sentences to make up dialogues with your partner. Ss:Basketball,soccer ball,ping-ping ball,... 2.T:Write these words in 2a.What do you have and what don’t you have?Please write them in the chart. 3.T:Now read out your words.Who writes the most words? 4.Give some possible words.(见课件) ◆Step 6 Reading 2b & 2c 1.T:Now,look at 2b.This is a survey.Skim it and find “Who has a soccer ball?” The students read the survey quickly to find the answer.Let the students guess the new words. T:Who has a soccer ball? Ss:Gina Smith.(见课件) 2.T:Let’s read the survey more slowly and then read the sentences in 2c.Who says these sentences?
