Hw t tell great stries in English?
Start yur strytelling by interacting with yur audience r ding smething t grab their attentin. This frces their attentin t fcus n the idea f yur stry and makes them want t hear mre. e.g. “I have the cllege rmmate stry t end all cllege rmmate stries. Let's just say it invlves a tilet.”
Thrughut yur strytelling, yu want t create an immerse experience. Start by giving them cntext when yu start yur stry. Cntinue t create the scene by using details which help them picture the actin and feel the things yu felt. e.g. “Once upn a time, when the wrld was ld and magic still lived and beasts still spke...”
Telling a stry thrugh speech requires yur audience t imagine it. S let them participate and visualize. Yu might try asking what they think happened befre actually telling them. e.g. “I met Arnld Schwarzenegger at the gym the ther day. Guess what he said t me?”
When yu tell a stry, use layman’s terms. If yur audience desn’t understand what yu’re saying, yu’ve lst their interest. Make yur stry relatable and relevant t the audience.
Match the way yur vice sunds t hw yu want the stry t feel at that pint. Change yur pitch, tne, and vlume t make stries seem calm r exciting, depending n where yu are in the stry. If yu can, mve yur whle bdy t act ut the stry.
