    After a mnth, I tried again, but this time at cllege. After 15 minutes f intrducing urselves, a teacher gave us a lecture abut the histry f English. Then we were tld that it was very imprtant t knw English in an English-speaking cuntry. It tk three hurs fr the teacher t tell us this. Again, I quit.
    But I didn’t stp lking fr smething r smene that wuld help me t achieve my gal, and I fund a tutr frm Literacy Vlunteers f America. But I still wasn’t happy with the classes. And when it was my turn t give a speech, I was happy t use all the lng, cmplicated wrds that I had learned frm ne f my English bks. When I had finished, my tutr said “Well, I think I have t learn English befre cming t teach yu!” This time, the tutr quit!
