教学目标
1.能灵活询问他人的生日日期并能做答,即能灵活运用句型“When is your birthday? My birthday is on+月份+序数词”。
2.巩固复习句型“What will you do for your mum? I’ll … ”。
3.能完成“Let’s try”部分的听力任务。
教学重点
1.能灵活运用句型“When is … birthday?”询问他人生日。
2.能在日常交际中运用句型“My birthday is on+月份+序数词”回答生日所在日期。教学难点

教学过程
Step 1:Warm up
(1)“开火车”复习“1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th,12th,20th,21st,23rd,30th”。
(2)师生Free talk。
T: When is your birthday?
S1: It’s on November 7th.
S2: It’s on December 6th …
Step 2:Presentation
(1)背景介绍,引出“Let’s talk”。Chen Jie and Mike are talking about their birthday,让我们一起去听听When are their birthdays?
①听第一遍时,学生跟读,学习正确的语音语调。
②听第二遍时,思考并判断以下问题是否正确:
a. Mike’s birthday is on April 5th.
b. Mike’s birthday is on the same day with Chen Jie’s mother’s.
c. What will Chen Jie do for her mum?
③听第三遍时,先回答所提出的问题,并继续跟读,理解对话大意,学习正确的语音语调。
(2)同桌两人替换其中的关键词,结合自身实际,重新编写对话,运用句型“When is your birthday? My birthday is on … What will you do for sb. on that day? I will … ”。
(3)戴上人物头饰将所编写的对话表演出来,比一比哪个小组表演的内容最合理最精准,谁的发音最标准流利,教师予以指导和点评。
Step 3:Consolidation and extension
(1)完成“Role play”,找几个人戴上Sarah, Oliver, John的人物头饰,并运用句型“When is your birthday? My birthday is on+月份+序数词”。
(2)完成“Let’s try”部分的听力任务。听一听,baby的生日在哪天?注意聆听句型“When is the baby’s birthday? It’s on … ”。
(3)课堂小练习。
