Period 1 （Section A 1a-2c）设计说明　　本课时采用情景教学模式，通过图文导入社团招聘和学生应聘的情景，让学生在参与、体验、合作中学习can的用法，引导学生逐步掌握本单元的主要语言知识，并培养学生在具体语境中运用语言知识进行交际的能力。教学目标　　1. 知识目标：　　（1）掌握单词和短语：guitar，sing，swim，dance，draw，chess，speak，join，club；play chess，speak English，play the guitar。　　（2）掌握句型：—Can you...? 　　—Yes，I can. /No，I can’t. 　　—What club do you want to join? 　　—I want to join...club. 　　（3）掌握情态动词can的用法以及含有情态动词can的一般疑问句及其肯定与否定回答。　　2. 能力目标：　　能够谈论自己或他人所拥有的能力、爱好以及想参加的社团。　　3. 情感目标：　　指导学生积极与他人交流，相互学习，相互帮助，共同提高，培养其团队精神。重点难点　　1. 重点：　　掌握表达能力、社团、爱好的单词及句型。　　2. 难点：　　掌握并运用含有情态动词can的一般疑问句及其简略回答。教学准备　　1. 准备本课时所需实物或图片。　　2. 准备1b、2a、2b的音频文件、多媒体课件。教学过程　　Step 1　Leading in　　1. Watch a video What Can You Do? Then guess what we’ll learn today. 　　2. Leading in　　（Show a picture to the students.）　　T：What’s this? 　　Ss：It’s a fish. 　　T：A fish can swim. I can swim，too. They want to join the music club. Mary can sing and dance. 　　Step 5　Pair work　　1. Practice the conversations in 1b in pairs. 　　2. Make your own conversations. 　　3. Work in groups. 　　（1）当play和球类或棋类名词搭配，表示“参与……”时，球类或棋类名词前不加冠词；当play和乐器类名词搭配，表示“吹，拉，弹奏等”时，乐器类名词前必须加定冠词the。　　（2）can表示能力，意为“能；会”，没有（有/没有）人称和数的变化，其后的动词用原形，其否定式是在can后面加not，一般疑问句要将can置于句首。　　（3）speak的用法　　①speak作及物动词，后接语言类名词，意为“说某种语言”。　　The girl can speak English. 　　这个女孩会说英语。　　②speak作不及物动词时，强调开口说话的能力、方式，有“发言，讲话”之意。　　I often speak at the meeting. 我经常在会上发言。　　（4）join的常见用法　　①join表示“参加（某个组织或团体，成为其成员）”。　　—May I join the League? 我可以入团吗？　　—Certainly. 当然可以。　　②join sb. 表示“加入某（些）人的行列”。　　If you plant trees tomorrow，may I join you？　　如果你们明天植树，我可以加入你们吗？　　③“join in+活动”表示“参加活动”，相当于take part in。　　May I join in your conversation? 　　我可以加入你们的谈话吗？　　Step 6　Additional task　　Make a survey with the drills “Can you...? ”“What club do you want to join? ” and fill in the following chart.
