在本课学习结束时，学生能够：
1. 获取梳理对话中有关“paying it frward”以及爱心小故事的事实性信息；
2. 深层理解和感知对话对话谈论的故事所传递的主题—爱心与善意的传递，培养关爱他人的意识；
3. 梳理与整合已知信息，通过借鉴与思考，结合自己的经历讲述一个爱心小故事。

1. 教师展示名言导入话题。

2. 学生观看视频，思考并回答问题。

学生根据教师提出的问题说出自己对“the imprtance f kindness”的简单看法。（教师在黑板上呈现出来）
激活学生的已知，激发学生的兴趣；
教师也有可能初步引出以下新词汇，如café, chain等，为听的活动做一定的准备。
引导学生对所听内容的主题预先进行思考与判断，引发学生初步关注，并帮助学生适当降低听力的难度。

1. 学生第一次和第二次连续听对话，并梳理出对话主题，完成教材19页活动1。

2. 学生第三次听对话，提取听对话所获取的重点信息，完成教材19页活动2。

3. 播放对话所涉歌曲“The Chain f Lve”，学生听并了解故事全貌，进一步理解“paying it frward”的含义。
4. 学生第四次听对话，并回答问题。

基于主题，引导学生获取并整合信息，理解对话大意。学生接触新词汇如 café, chain等。
获取细节信息，鼓励学生记录关键信息。
通过歌曲欣赏的形式进一步引导学生关注主题。
基于对话信息设问，学生回答问题过程中获取对话所涉真实故事的具体信息，从主题意义角度关注对话内容。

2. 老师补充课本改编文章所删减的部分重要内容，学生进行阅读。
基于故事阅读，引导学生关注讲述故事所涉及的五个要素（即5W）。
分析和判断作者通过该故事传递的信息，培养学生的分析判断能力；同时巩固已知，进一步学习作者讲述故事的方式方法。
补充必要信息，降低理解难度，帮助学生理解故事主题。

1. 学生了解教材19页活动3提供的语块内容。

2. 学生根据自己的经历，结合教材19页的提示，拟定一个爱心小故事的提纲。

学生借鉴之前环节获取的信息和学习的表达方式围绕主题列出提纲，准备进行表达，实现迁移和创新。
