    1. tidy up


    tidy up意为“收拾; 整理”. 例如:


    We shuld tidy up the place befre we mve in.

    2. as


    as作介词, 意为“作为; 以身份”. 例如:

    as与like的辨析:


    (1)as常作连词, 有“像一样”的意思, 其后多接从句; 作介词, 意为“作为”, 其后多接表示职业、职务、用途、作用之类的名词, 表示两者是完全相似. 例如:


    Dn’t make the same mistakes as I did. 不要犯像我一样的错误.


    He wrked there as a vlunteer. 他作为一名志愿者在那里工作.


    (2)like作介词, 意为“像”, 只侧重比较, 后多接名词或代词. 例如:


    Li Ping lks like my brther. 李平看起来像我的弟弟.


    3. must


    must作情态动词, 意为“一定”, 表示猜测, 对某事物有较大的把握. 例如:


    Yur father must be at hme. 你的爸爸一定在家.


    如果是对事物把握性不是很大的情况下用can或may表示“可能; 也许”. 例如:


    Yur bike can be under the tree. 你的自行车可能在树下.

    如果对某事物否定猜测的把握性比较大的情况下用can’t, 表示“不可能”, 语气比较强.


    例如:


    The red bike can’t be yur mther’s.


    那一辆红色的自行车不可能是你妈妈的.


    4. with


    (1)with意为“和一起”. 例如:


    I ften play with my friends. 我经常和朋友们一起玩.

    with 与and的辨析:


    1)with作介词, 意为“和”, 后接名词、代词或动名词; 接代词时应使用宾格形式.


    例如:


    Sally with Lingling is in the park.


    = Sally is in the park with Lingling.


    Sally和玲玲在公园里.


    He likes playing with me. 他喜欢和我一起玩.


    2)and作连词, 意为“和”, 用于连接并列关系的单词、短语或句子. 例如:


    Tm and Mike are gd friends. Tm和Mike是好朋友.


    (2)with作介词, 还可意为“用”, 后跟使用的工具等. 例如:


    Yu write the letter with yur pen. 你用钢笔写信.


    Yu play ftball with yur feet. 你用脚踢足球.


    5. persn/peple


    persn和peple都作名词, 意为“人”. 但还有区别. 区别如下:


    (1)persn是个体名词, 它泛指man, wman或child中的任何一个, 其复数形式是persns, 但人们习惯用peple代替persns. “一个人”常译作a persn, 而需要说明一个人的性别时, 要用a man 或 a wman来表示. 例如:


    Wh is the yungest persn in yur class?


    你们班里年龄最小的人是谁?


    (2)peple作“人”讲时, 是集合名词, 表复数概念. 说“一个人”时, 不用peple. 当表示两个以上的人时, 可用peple. 例如: twenty peple二十个人.


    peple作“民族”解时, 有单、复数之分. 例如:


    a peple一个民族

    6. cme ut


    (1)cme ut 意为“出现”. 例如:


    The mn came ut frm behind the cluds. 月亮从云后露出脸来.


    (2)cme ut 意为“出版”. 例如:


    When will his new nvel cme ut?


    他新创作的小说什么时候出版?


    (3)cme ut 意为“长出, 开花”. 例如:


    The flwers cme ut. 花开了.

    as a result为习惯用语, 意为“因此; 结果”. 例如:

    交通十分拥挤, 因此我们没能准时到达.

    8. success


    success表示抽象意义的“成功”, 是不可数名词; 表示具体意义的“成功的人或事”, 则是可数名词. 例如:

    (1)succeed 表示“成功”, 是不及物动词; 表示做某事做成功了, succeed 后通常接in ding sth.. 例如:
