The Lines were first sptted when cmmercial airlines began flying acrss the Peruvian desert in the 1920,s. Wh built them and what was their purpse? And fr thse wh think they are exercising their right t make chices, the whle system is merely an illusin, a false idea created by cmpanies and advertisers, hping t sell their prducts .
'The endless chice gives birth t anxiety in peple's lives. Buying smething as basic as a cffee pt is nt exactly simple. Easy access t a wide range f everyday gds leads t a sense f pwerlessness in many peple, ending in the shpper giving up and walking away, r just buying an unsuitable item that is nt really wanted. In a test, bunches f flwers were sent by flrists t 113 men and wmen in a retirement cmmunity. All 113 gt flwers and a ntebk, but sme gt them earlier and received a secnd bunch when the thers gt theirs. By nw yu can guess the utcme. The mre flwers, the mre smiles.
The results f the studies gt the scientists t thinking abut hw the flwer industry f tday has evlved int grwing things that serve n ther purpse than emtinal (情感上的) satisfactin. Nature wn’t even pllinate (授粉) many f the dmesticated flwers. Just amng rses, there are s many types created by humans that, clearly, flwers aren’t what they used t be. But it’s likely ur cllective hand has played a rle lnger than yu might think.

They are the pets f the plant wrld.” McGuire says.
Here is ne way that might have wrked:
Many species f flwers that are nw planted used t grw nly when the grund was disturbed, McGuire explains. “As humans mved int agricultural settings, these flwers wuld have been weeds.” “These flwers might have been tlerated because f their beauty.
