      This isn’t the nly time Ninsn set his sights n a seemingly impssible dream.Phtgraphy isn’t exactly valued as a career path in Ghana.Ninsn says,“If yu tell yur parents yu’re ging t be a phtgrapher,it was like,‘What? G be a lawyer.’”But Ninsn felt phtgraphy was his calling.He was deeply influenced by the rich family histry f strytelling passed dwn thrugh his grandparents and later,attracted by a friend’s images,develped a lve f phtgraphy.It felt natural t cmbine the tw,s he dve in.With great determinatin,he managed t cllect mre than 30,000 vlumes.In December 2022,the Dikan Center pened.
      Ghanaian Daniella Afful was particularly mved by Dikan’s exhibitin,and said it gave her a new viewpint n her cuntry’s past and present.She said,“Dikan has made art and phtgraphy mre significant.It has given us the hpe that we may sn have a music library in Ghana.We culd have a film library in Ghana—anything just t preserve ur histry and make histry.”
