2. 借助音频,获取志愿者在甘肃乡村小学的教学经历,包括学校环境、学生情况、工作内容、感受等细节信息;
3. 在同伴对话活动中运用相关表达谈论日常生活中如何帮助他人,引导学生思考如何做力所能及的事帮助他人。
教学内容
教学重点:
1. 阅读并获取“大学生志愿服务西部计划”内容、进展、意义等关键信息;
2. 借助音频,获取志愿者在甘肃乡村小学的教学经历,包括学校环境、学生情况、工作内容、感受等细节信息;
3. 在同伴对话活动中运用相关表达谈论日常生活中如何帮助他人。
教学难点:
引导学生思考如何做力所能及的事帮助他人。
教学过程
Step 1 Free talk and lead-in
1. Have students talk abut what they think f vlunteers and hw they can help peple in their daily lives.
2 Have students think f the vlunteer prgrammes in China t help children in pr areas.
Step 2 Reading
1. Have students read an article abut a vlunteer prgramme and cmplete a table.
Have students read the article again and answer the fllwing questins:
What did Yang Yu vlunteer t d?
Hw did he feel abut his vlunteer wrk?
What des he think f the prgramme?
Have students think further abut what makes cllege students want t vlunteer fr the “G West” Prgramme.
Step 3 Listening and reading
Have students g thrugh the five questins n P87 befre listening.
Have students listen and chse the crrect answers fr Part B1.
Have students predict pssible answers fr Part B2.
Have students listen and cmplete Simn’s ntes.
Have students g thrugh Simn’s ntes and think further abut what the students’ life is like and what Judy can bring t the students.
Step 4 Writing
Have students cmplete Simn’s article with the infrmatin in Parts B1 and B2.
Have students analyze the structure f Simn’s article.
Have students talk abut what they can learn frm Judy’s experience.
Step 5 Listening, reading and speaking
Have students listen t Daniel and Millie’s cnversatin and cmplete the fllwing table:
Have students read Daniel and Millie’s cnversatin and answer tw questins:
What des Millie think f helping thers?
Why des Daniel chse t vlunteer at his cmmunity centre?
Have students make up a dialgue t talk abut hw they can help peple in their daily lives.

Have students summarize what they have learned in this lessn.
