教学内容
教学重点:
1. 获取和梳理志愿者在冬残奥会中的服务内容、工作意义和个人感悟等关键信息,形成对志愿服务和体育精神的结构化理解;
2. 运用语篇中与志愿服务、人物品质相关的词汇和表达,描述志愿者的工作经历及其体现的精神品质。

教学过程
Step 1 Revisin
Have students recall wh is in need f help and talk abut wh has the ability t help them.
Step 2 Pre-reading
1. Have students talk abut their vlunteering experience r plans.
2. Have students talk abut what they think f vlunteering.
Step 3 While-reading
Have students read the rubrics and view the illustratins.
Read the rubrics and find ut the genre and the main idea f the article.
View the illustratins and say what is special abut the Paralympics.
Have students read the title f the article and predict what the stry is abut based n sme key wrds given, like wh, what, why and hw.
Have students read fr the structure f the article by matching the main idea with each paragraph.
Have students read Paragraph 1 and answer the fllwing questins:
What is Liu Ming?
Hw did he feel when he vlunteered fr the Paralympics?
Hw des he feel abut his vlunteering experience nw?
Have students read Paragraph 2 and cmplete mind maps as fllws.
Have students read Paragraph 3 and
cmplete a table as fllws;
think further abut the prblems Liu Ming faced during the Paralympics and what Liu Ming learned frm his vlunteering experience.
Have students read Paragraph 4 and
draw a mind map;
think abut the fllwing questins:
What can the vlunteers learn frm the athletes?
What can the vlunteers learn frm ther vlunteers?
Hw may the vlunteers feel abut making the Paralympics a great success?
Have students read Paragraph 5 and find ut tw wrds abut vlunteers and athletes and then think abut what the Paralympics mean t bth vlunteers and athletes.
Step 4 Pst-reading
1. Have students explain “Why des Liu Ming think the experience is amazing?” after reading the article.
2. Have students analyze the structure f a news feature t better understand it.
3. Have students make up a cnversatin t interview Liu Ming.
4. Have students wrk as a grup and make a pster fr a vluntary team fr the 2028 Paralympic Summer Games.
